Just keep in mind that the wording matters. Typically, all walls are blocking terrain, but not all blocking terrain are walls. If an effect looks for squares of blocking terrain, then walls would not qualify.

thus the confusion of walls act like blocking terrain instead of walls are blocking terrain.
where is it clarified that walls "are" blocking terrain.
(not arguing, just want to know)
From page 13 of the rulebook:
Quote
WALLS
Walls are a special type of terrain indicated by
heavy black lines that run along the map’s grid
lines. Walls have no boundary lines, but they
behave like blocking terrain. Characters on
opposite sides of walls are not adjacent. The edges
of a map are not walls.

yeah, that is what we kept reading, that they "behave" like blocking terrain, but with all the specifc wording things out there could not find a place that said they "were" blocking terrain.
just specifing where the confustion comes from, thank you for an offical answer.
Walls are blocking terrain for all game purposes except that (a) they are not considered a square of blocking terrain and (b) they are not included in an area of blocking terrain.
