Shows the ship card (30 pts) and explains the new actions. Also shows 3 of the new upgrades. I just wish Energy could've been explained a bit more. Because if you can gain more energy, that would quickly turn it into a very annoying tank.
Still love the new upgrades, very powerful support options. Comms booster will be the boon of ordinance (hello Advanced Proton Torpedoes). Slicer Tools will eliminate Interceptors with Push the Limit from Epic. And Shield Projector is going to be nasty if you can constantly recharge shields.
Still a lot of info to be seen, but we have a few months. Sadly, it looks like they will focus more on the X-wing next.
Yeah I'm not to keen on the idea of it getting energy every turn, also I would like to get more information as well, I've already got enough Star Wars just sitting on my shelf as is, need more info if I'm going to sink that type of money into these huge ships.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the rules for the Epic and what impact it will have on the Imperials builds since they don't have an option as of yet for one of these "big ships"
Looks cool but not sure if I want to spend the cash. I have a Disney Trip I am saving for, funding clix and AW for me and kids and soem RPG's and about to have another clix sale to get more things for the homeless. Be nice to have but it is kind of pricey
Magic is not for Parlor Tricks~
Sparrow, Moros Second Degree Master
On the plus side, it doesn't look like something you want multiples of, even for Epic play. It doesn't look to have much offensive capabilities, outside of ramming fighters. We have to see what the Titles and Crew do for it, but I doubt it will turn it into something you want multiples of in Epic, no matter the point value of Epic.
And for standard play, it looks like the Astromechs are unique, and we get 3 of the Flechette Torpedoes, which should be enough for most 100 pt squads. No matter what they do.
Though, now I'm dying to see what the Corvette can do, since it should have some weapons on it.
A certain market that sells miniatures has them for $40 (transport) and $60 (Tantive). Not terribly bad when you consider that buying them both will get you free shipping.
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.
I like how the movement works. They didnt explain it in the article, but I'm pretty sure that one piece in the picture covers every possible movement for the ship. Pretty sweet. I'll get one of these for sure and might end up with 2, depending. The bonus X-Wing is a huge incentive to buy 2.
Venue: The Gaming Goat in Elgin, IL. Find us in the WizKids event system.
They sold me on the Transport when they mentioned Porkins. Without him, I doubt I'd buy it. I already have a Blockade Runner (the old Kenner model), so should be able to get by without the other ship.
CarlosMucha: that is like be running in a Olimpic race competition just one step to get the gold and then a Giant children place a mirror in your side and you discover what you are really a hamster over a whell and the gold is just a slice of chess. Avatar Summoning: Original GotG, Melter, Whiplash
I wish I had the cash to buy 2 of these. The X-Wing is my favorite ship in all of Star Wars (followed by the Acclamator) and I love pretty much all the pilots of the various X-Wings.
I grew up following the Rogue Squadron shenanigans as they were being written and developed, so hearing that some Great Rogues will be in this makes me a bit upset that to collect all of them I'd have to buy this at least once. Not that I don't like the ship, it's just hard enough to justify spending $15 per ship in this game (although online sales help a bit)
One thing I'd love to see them put out there is a Rebel Aces set, but give me Renegade and Rogue Squadron pilots.
Either way I'm kinda looking forward to seeing these on the board.

If it's just for the X-Wings, MP23, being the main draw you shouldn't need to buy multiples.
There appear to be 6 X-wing Cards and 3 tokens (its possible it's 4 as one is on the assembled X-wing, but I doubt it).
Looking for pics it seems AFewManuvers has them listed, they have a good track record IIRC
PS 8 Wes Janson (Elite Pilot Talent)
PS 7 Jek Porkins (Elite Pilot Talent)
PS 5 "Hobbie" Klivian
PS 3 Tarn Mison
PS 4 Red Squadron Pilot
PS 2 Rookie Pilot
So at worst (there only being 3 tokens and not 4) you should only have 1 named pilot doubled up
But odd things happen MP23, you might even be able to find someone who is only interested in the Transport part of the expansion (be it only for shelf display or because they went for multiple of the Transport and don't need doubles of the X-Wings)..........and are interested in shaving some of the price off.
Probably easier to do after we know all of the contents of course.
There should be options if you ask around either here, BGG, Team Covenant or AFM (ect) if you don't find someone locally.
It is almost upon us! Are you prepared for the Quarmageddon?

That's actually a REALLY good point traitor. I may have to see if someone is willing to let me buy the X-wing off of them for the retail cost of the X-wing (maybe a bit more since there are THREE Rogues in there :D)
Best case scenario I could just buy two of those from peeps who just want the transport.
I think it's a bit more than that, as the large ships (Transport and Tantive) are designed to be used in scenario play and not the standard game.
Not for the standard 100pt game, sure. But they are designed for both Cinematic (ie scenario) and Epic formats. The Epic format is a tournament format.
We still need to see all the upgrades, but so far it does look to have a non-offensive role, outside ramming careless starfighters and Slicing Tools.
