Not a big fan of no defense powers on top of no indomitable. I would of liked one or the other.

I really want to like this Pyro, and I think I really could if he weren't 90 points. Granted that's not a HUGE investment, but it's a lot of points to pay for a character with zero defensive abilities to keep him in the game. The trait is useful as is enhancement/perplex and the move and attack capabilities that GSX Pyro lacked. But at least he had some ES/D. I'll have to try him out before I pass judgement.

I'm looking more at the flame he can make. Create for free. Charge 3 spaces. 2 Exploit Weakness. He will be KOed a lot, but Pyro makes them for free. I'd focus on keeping figures with Leadership between Pyro and the enemy, like Exodus or Magneto; keep those action tokens off him...

A little Barrier top dial and he'd be perfect.

Good to hold off on judging the piece till we see the other team players in this set, that way we can see what synergy will boost this piece. If I played him I would have him hiding behind GX Blob. Create a flame construct. Then have pyro do a running shot attack. Then move Blob and flame construct to make a barrier to protect pyro. Pyro could also benefit from the Ice Blast ring gaining barrier and incapacitate or have a full dial of energy explosion and penetrating psychic blast from the Flame ring if he rolls the pick up. I prefer to use objects with their indicated characters they are trade marked for in comics but since I don't and I play against others who always use resource dials and objects to buff up their teams my team tends to be out numbered in power. I still win a lot of games with out buffs but getting to the point where others team builds are ridiculous and frustratingly powerful. So I would be willing to play Pyro with one of those Mandarin rings.

I would love this guy just for spitting out POGs alone but those are some pretty hefty offensive abilities for under 100pts. Lov'nit!

Not great but not bad in my opinion. Love that he can be given a free action to make a flame token whether it has that 'no action token' restriction or not. Having NO defense powers on a piece bothers me personally. I like the move and attack this one has over the GSX version but that one has the Energy/shield to help him survive a bit. This one should've had energy/shield on clicks 1, 3, and 5 and brought up 10 points to an even 100 in my opinion. But this one is more of a team player with enhancement and the Perplex. So I think I could find use for him just wish some kind of defense was on this figure...

You want a 90 point figure with Running Shot, 11 Attack, and Energy Explosion to become even more points by having Barrier on it's first click?

Not me.

The lack of barrier is fine. Deploying a flame construct to block LOF fulfills as much of a barrier option as Pyro needs. He is meant for offense, and barrier would just unnecessarily lower his cost-effectiveness. The Brotherhood has WtX Magneto for cheap barrier now. If someone else was going to get it, it should have been Avalanche.

Invulnerability can be taken care of with ironman briefcase and supersenses with the space gem or a mild version of it if he is adjacent to kazejin.

Stupidly powerful. Who cares about his defense when he can hide, spit out a flame monster and move it all the way out and then push it next turn to charge with exploit? And he's a solid piece all on his own with enhancement to make everyone else hit harder.

@thunderclese: bravo, Sir, bravo because I couldn't agree more. When this piece was first previewed I was absolutely stoked. A) I LOVE his Point Cost @ 90 Points for all he can do + the Flame Construct can be just straight nasty and B) I think this piece encourages pushing because to me that 3rd Click is straight money with his Perplex, Sidestep and 18 Defense Value. Simply put, for those of us who play Themed Teams, Mr. Allerdyce here is a must staple for all Brotherhood Teams
