I goofed and left out Hot Tuna. That's been corrected.

1) Iggy Pop - I hadn't heard this before, but wow! What a great song.
2) Blackfoot - My expected #1. Still love the heck out of it.
3)System Of A Down - Also a surprise for me.
4) Hot Tuna - This is the song that got me to look for other songs of this title.
5) Leftover Salmon - Thoroughly enjoyed this.
6) Nancy Sinatra - I used to drool when she would appear on Ed Sullivan to sing These Boots Are Made For Walking.
7) James Taylor
8) Krokus

Nancy Sinatra - This was just fun. Toe-tapping rhythms, and love that brass section.
Iggy Pop - Credit where credit's due. Iggy Pop was really quite versatile, able to carry off a bunch of different styles. I liked this one a lot.
Hot Tuna - Whenever these guys come up in one of these, I always keep thinking I have to look up more of their stuff. They're consistently enjoyable.
James Taylor - I generally like the singer-songwriters of the early 70s era but James Taylor's not the best of the bunch. He does have some high points, but even his middle tier stuff is pleasant to listen to. This one's in that middle tier for sure, but good enough to keep it out of the bottom.
Blackfoot - Sounds a lot like what my friends would have listened to in high school. I may not have bought the album myself, but I wouldn't mind listening to it with them.
Leftover Salmon - I liked the sound of it. I just wish they would have done a little bit more with it. (And I don't mean in the way of time, 9 minutes plus was plenty.)
Krokus - Okay, but not particularly memorable. Even now having just listened to it, I'm having trouble thinking how it went.
System of a Down - As usual, there's always one or two songs in these that just aren't my thing. This is one of them.
There were five really good songs and then three that just hurt me to listen to them.
Iggy Pop – I just love when Iggy gets all retrospective and homey. Love the big sound of the percussion on this.
Nancy Sinatra - This one really surprised me. I dug the horns, the Latin play and the sing-along quality of the chorus.
Krokus – had some pretty big shoes to fill as they went after heavy metal fans. Especially with their sound being so much like that band of Ozzies. Even has a bit of Status Quo in there as well.
James Taylor – Good JT at his down-homey best.
System of a Down – I don’t normally like them too much. Serge can be annoying to me. This isn’t that bad of a song, but Serge is singing it……, so.
Blackfoot – Southern Rock…and seven minutes of it too. The horror. And the only reason why I listened to the whole thing is because my wife came into the room and said she was listening to this about a month ago. She said this was the kind of song Daryl Dixon would ride his chopper to. Maybe if Walking Dead ever used this song for him I could find the love for it, but for now, nuh uh.
Hot Tuna – Here’s another band I just never got into. You’d think with Jack Cassady and Papa John Creach, I’d find some love for them. Here’s another bottom of the barrel for me. You could switch this and Blackfoot as they’re both never gonna be on any playlist by me.
Leftover Salmon - didn’t appreciate this one as much as I felt I should. There was something missing.
1- Blackfoot: Great song
2- Iggy Pop: It always trips me out a bit when Iggy Pop does a "non-Stooges" type song (even if with the Stooges) like this or Passenger. For years all I had heard was songs like TV Eye and Dirt, and had no idea I would love this style so much.
3- Krokus: A pleasant surprise. I have Headhunter, but was never able to get into it. But for some reason, I enjoyed this today. Its not very deep, but fun to hear.
4- Hot Tuna: Some days I like Hot Tuna better than other days
5- Nancy Sinatra: Much better than I thought it would be
6- System Of A Down: Unique, and I enjoyed that.
7- James Taylor: I never thought James Tayor could be boring, much less real boring.
8- Leftover Salmon: Sort of tied with James Taylor. James has the better voice, and usually better songs.

For someone with such knowledge and taste in music, we really have to figure out how to fix this defect in your music appreciation. And yes, thats defect, not gap. After you've killed your food on a crisp fall evening, cooked it over an open fire, and washed it down with some Apple Jack distilled by one of your uncles, you need Blackfoot or Marshall Tucker or Black Stone Cherry to top it all off. Pretty is pretty, but sometimes you need a musical kick with a small twang.

Can't I get that same feeling with some Rick Derringer or Johnny Winter or The Who?
I was just on board our newest ship, The Getaway, and they have a lounge called The Grammy Experience, and they have Edgar's cape from back in the day. I took a pic of it, but need to download it to put on my albums here.
