There was no reason for people to freak out.
There are lots of Supermen in this Set.
( love the Trait )
One SR Superboy and one Chase zombie-esque Superman does not equal "lots" of Supermen. :disappointed:
If you are counting Superman-like LOSH characters (Mon-El, Daxamites, etc.), they shouldn't count anymore than saying a "Thing" in a Hulk-centric set counts towards having lots of Hulks. And "action figures" definitely should not count. IMHO, of course.
Just what we need, another overpriced Superman who can get served by a 100 point fig with pulsewave. How does WizKids continue to make one of the most powerful comic book characters in existence not worth playing? The only Superman that has ever come close to being accurate to the character is the goofy 325 point TabApp fig - and he still gets owned by a 100 point pulsewave fig. I don't know who makes these dials up, but quit your job - you suck at it.

As far as I can remember, only Silver Centurion doesn't gets owned by a 100 point Pulse Wave figure. So I don't really get why it's such a badly designed Superman... it's just being consistent.
The Growing Darkness trait looks interesting, imagine your opponent losing his Indom because you stole something from their U-Belt, or making their IG less potent, or getting their hammer. Which makes me ask, can I assign my opponent's hammer to this Superman if I have a full IG on him?
This superman is awesome, I love the trait, and the stop click to run away and heal back up, if you do it right he might never die. For 220 points he is very strong cheap power house with a 9 range and ignoring hindering you can pop shots from a safe distance or use his super strength trait to pick up a heavy with hss and hit some one for 6 damage. I'm so Happy I pull him, Can't wait to use him.
I was lucky enough to pull this figure....not because of the diaa itself its terrible. But because he's the most expensive figure in the set priced at nearly 70 bucks!
Speaking of this figure being " terrible"...this figure is TERRIBLE. Seriously look at the Mr. Majestic from the EXACT same set with the EXACT same point value at 220 points. He HHS 4+ clicks of impervious, superman only has 3 clicks of invincible for the same points! Apparently the designers value invincible a lot...superman brings very little to the table. He does have the nifty teleport away and regen as a free action yet ALL of the chase figures have the same thing and much better dials. His incap special is only useful in close quarters and yet he has a range oriented dial....he's just very disappointing for being the ONLY superman in the set.
While that is a good comparison considering standard powers, Mr. Miracle for one can't steal a resource element, 2.) Doesn't have a stop click, and C.) doesn't have the monster keyword. I've heard that's been a thing for the last year or so...

Boy, I sure have pissed off a lot of people lately on the interwebs. Sorry to all.
What about calling them "Papillomas?"
I'm really confused/annoyed that this is the only real superman in the set. It has his name in the set and this is the only figure? And he's nothing special. The trait is cool, but for 220 pts I can think of a few things that would be more helpful. And the dial is nothing to be impressed about either. Sealed he's a beast, but construct he's only good.

Well, it's not "Supermen and the Legion of Super Heroes". Hehe... just kidding. Seriously, I was also thinking that there's gonna be a bunch of Sups, but I'm not saying I'm disappointed either.
other than this being the 2nd closest thing this set has to superman, i just find it weird he's shooting a uni-beam. I mean, i know hes just an evil clone monster thing, but still, i d have thought he'd shoot beams from the eyes
I always told myself that if they made a Non-Unique Chase Superman I would collect a bunch of them. Looks like they finally did...I wish he was a little better or at least cheaper points-wise. Hmmm....
aqhoffman- greatest post possibly ever
jtallday- Jon I wouldn't challenge you if I wasn't sure you are wrong cuz I don't have that kind of energy.
