So say you have figure A on a team with Splitlip. Figure A moves to a relic and free action tries to pick it up. Then figure B TKs figure A onto another relic. Can figure A use another free action to try to pick up the second object? I know you can't do the same free action more than once a turn, but is picking up relic X the same free action as picking up relic Y?
It's like Michael Jordan going to the YMCA to play basketball.

I'm pretty sure (92.1375%) the answer is NO, you cannot. The Free-Action isn't picking up X, OR Y or anything like that. The Free Action is "A relic roll". So a Free Action Relic Roll is fine. But then you go to do it again and it says "Have you already done a Free Action Relic-Roll?" And the answer is Yes, so you cannot do it.

It's just like if a character could make an attack as a free action. It could not do a free attack against character A and then free attack Character B. The free action was to make an attack and not to make a free attack against Character X.
In the this case the free action is simply to make a relic roll. Not to make a relic roll to pick up relic X.

Once per game per character, if a character occupies the same square as a relic, that character may be given a power action to roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled. This roll is called a relic roll. If the result of that roll is within the indicated range of numbers, the relic is placed on that character’s character card and the character will gain certain abilities, as described on the relic’s card.
You could probably get away with it if you could do one as a free action and one as a power action, but you can not use free actions to do the same action (relic roll) twice in the same turn.

This has been asked before. You can do a free action and then a power action to pick up two relics, but you can't use two free actions because making a relic roll is considered the same game effect.

If that were the case, I should never be able to pick up more than one relic in a game, because I am limited to one relic roll per game per character period. This is not how it has been ruled in the past. It has consistently be said you can make 1 relic roll per character per relic. So each relic must have a separate action that initiates it's relic roll, different from all other relics.
I say you can free action pick up as many relics as you can.

If I can only take 1 free action per turn to make a relic roll, why can I take more than one per game? Relic rolls specify once per game.
You could be right, but them clarifying that a Relic Roll is Once Per Game Per Relic doesn't mean that the Once per turn restriction is automatically turned into "Once per turn per relic".

Relics are special objects that are Immobile and can’t be destroyed. Once per game per character, give a character occupying a square containing a relic a power action and roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled. On a result matching the relic value noted on the object, place this object on that character’s card.
And from the rulebook:
Quote
Once per game per character, if a character occupies the same square as a relic, that character may be given a power action to roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled. This roll is called a relic roll. If the result of that roll is within the indicated range of numbers, the relic is placed on that character’s character card and the character will gain certain abilities, as described on the relic’s card.
Now, if we want to say you can only make one relic roll as a free action per turn, we would need a rule causing that limitation:
Quote
A character may not activate the same game effect
twice in one turn with free actions, unless the game effect indicates otherwise.
If rolling for Relic A is the same game effect as rolling for Relic B, the rules for relics would very clearly indicate that game effect could have never been used a second time this game. Nothing in the PG or rules that I can find adds the "per relic" restriction, that is what players add to explain each relic has a separate game effect generating its roll.
And even with that, (I'm not sure if this is being argued) but how can you ever make a free action relic roll and a power action relic roll on the same relic?
