Can a figure be controlled twice in the same round by 2 opposing figures? i.e. Superman has no action tokens on him, he gets controlled once by Moondragon and she makes him smack his teamate, then can Enchantress make him hit the guy again or taxi them out? I think I know this answer but friends making me post it anyway
How are you counting that Manchine. When you MC a fig, the MCd action does not count against your total actions. It is considered a part of the MCers action.
Its not a free action, you still have to pay for it out of your actions tokens. Its an action you must pay for. Had to look it up just to make sure.
MIND CONTROL. [BLUE] This figure may make a ranged combat attack to give an action to an opposing figure. (Optional) Give this figure a close combat or ranged combat action. If the attack is successful, give an action to the target figure as if that figure were a part of your force. The target figure receives an action token, if applicable. A successful attack does no damage to the target figure. This figure takes 1 click of damage for each 100 points of the target's point value. If a figure with this power has a range value of 0, assume that its range value is 4.
1. If a Mind Controlled figure KOs another figure, or is KO?d itself, the mind-controlling player earns the points. If the KO'd figure (either Mind Controlled or the defender of a Mind Controlled figure's attack) is an archenemy of the Mind Controller, the current player earns points as if he or she KO'd the figure?s archenemy.
2. A Mind Control attack will cause 1 point of critical hit damage if the player rolls a 12 for the successful attack. If the successfully controlled figure is pushed, it also takes a click of damage for the push.
3. A critical hit while attempting to control an opposing figure causes 1 click of damage and knockback, to be taken immediately, before the target of the Mind Control is assigned an action.
4. If a figure with Mastermind is critically hit by a Mind Control attack, the controlling player may use Mastermind to shift the damage to an adjacent friendly figure before the Mind Controller assigns the figure its action.
5. Mind Control assigns an action to an opposing figure. Mind Control ends as soon as the action is completed.
6. Mind Control cannot be used against a "pushed" figure (a figure with two action markers on it).
7. The target figure is considered "friendly" to your team for all purposes during the assigned action, except that you still score points for it if it is KO?d.
8. Mind Control is a two-step process. First, use your figure with Mind Control to make a ranged or close combat attack against an opponent. If successful, you may give that figure an action, as though it were yours.
9. The damage is 1 click for each full 100 points of the total point value of the target. If the target is fewer than 100 points, or the attack is unsuccessful, the Mind Control figure won't take any damage.
10. When a figure is Mind Controlled, all its powers and abilities are at the controller's disposal, even if the owning player had turned off optional ones before the Mind Control attack.
11. The damage taken from using Mind Control on a figure with a point cost of 100 or more cannot be prevented (even by super powers that normally prevent/reduce damage caused by super powers).
12. Mind Control may be used on multiple targets if the figure has multiple ranged attacks indicated on its base (by lightning bolts next to its range value). This works as follows:
A] Player 1 declares a Mind Control attack, using a unit that has 2 lightning bolts next to its range value, on two figures to which the figure has a clear
line of fire.
B] Player 1 rolls the dice and compares the attack roll result to the defense value of each figure targeted. A target with low defense might be affected
while other with higher defense values may not be.
C] Once successful targets have been selected, Player 1 may assign an action to whichever figures have been Mind Controlled in any order, but the first
figure?s action must be resolved before an action can be assigned to the second, and so on.
D] The Mind Controlled figure is considered a friendly figure to Player 1?s force during the assigned action. As soon as the assigned action is finished,
the figure is no longer considered friendly to Player 1?s force. This allows the Mind Controlled figures to attack each other during Player 1?s action.
E] Player 1 totals the number of points-worth of figures on which Mind Control was successfully used during the action gives the Mind Controller figure
1 click of damage per full 100 points of figures Controlled.
F] All other Mind Control rules are as normal. [FAQ]
I used to think that as well, until I was corrected. I think it was HC that corrected me, or possibly even Tsannik. Anyway, it was someone of thier calibre.
Of course, the ruling could have changed since then. It wouldn't be the first time....
