The Pact: At the beginning of the game, you may announce a pact. If you do, the highest point character on your force and the highest point character on your opponent's force (300 points or less) can't target opposing characters with an attack until one of them has taken damage from an attack or they are the only 2 characters on the map. this ability can't be ignored.
My question is in reference to two things.
1. If two characters on a force are the same cost, does this affect both, one, or neither?
2. If the cost of a character changes, and it becomes the highest point character when it wasn't at the beginning of the game, does the effect of "The Pact" stick to them, or change to a different character?
For example, my Thor looks like this;
tdw018 R Thor
Team: No Affiliation
Range: 0
Points: 125
Keywords: Asgardian, Avengers, Deity, Warrior

(Special) Strongest of the Asgardians: Thor can use Super Strength. Give Thor a close combat action and, if he hits, you may roll a d6. If the result is greater than the damage taken, replace him with TDW #001 Thor on the same click number +1.
(Special) Godly Stamina: Thor begins the game with two Stamina tokens on his card. When Thor would take pushing damage, you may instead remove a Stamina token and ignore the pushing damage.
(Attack) Mighty Swing: Thor can use Precision Strike and Quake.
If he's on a team with Highfather, Highfather is the highest point character. When Thor promotes to #001 Thor, who is 200 points, does the effect of the Pact stay on Highfather, or change to Thor?
As I mentioned in another thread, the pact doesn't specify a character, only the highest point one on each force.
I'm aware that this may still be being looked into. If there's anything helpful though, that'd be appreciated.
"It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak." "Prove you have the strength and courage to be free."
Since you would score 200 points for KO'ing thor I would say he would become the new target for the Pact. I don't think this would work for Alter Egos however because I think they are the same value as the original figure.
I would think as the pact occurs at the beginning of the game, that's when the characters are selected and remain so for the game. If game variables cause point values to change, the pact remains as stated.

I see you guys have figured out why I chose to ask the question.

I have a similar question and I hope you can help. If I chose a 300-pt character and add a 2-pt ATA, can Highfather choose that character for The Pact?
