I would say no. The attack itself isn't doing any damage (unless something special happens like boxcars); it just happens that while you have control of the character, you decide to push her and she takes a damage.
SC: toughness/etc do not prevent damage from pushing or mystics.
Push damage is not damage from an attack so no the mind controller would not take a click of damage unless he rolled a critical hit. Mind Control is a very effective.
SanieClaws, You've forgotten that it's in the rulebook. "If you give an action (other than pass) to the same character on two consecutive turns, that character takes 1 click of damage
after he resolves his current action." Push not only isn't damage from an attack; it can only happen after the action's resolved.
Incapacitate, Poison, and Force Blast are other effective ways to get around that Mystic ability.
1. MC does not provoke the mystics team ability as it does no damage.(unless you roll box-cars, then it would)
2. Push damage is not damage from an attack, thus no Mystic retaliation
3. The damage from the mystic team ability is not an attack, and is not avoidable by any means. That includes Supersenses, Mastermind, Toughness, Impervious, and Invulnerability.
