So I'm really liking the new Dawnstar, but I need to ask if her special attack power would be a way to get around things like the Hand ATA or Shadow Lass...

Shadow Lass's Power

"ABSOLUTE DARKNESS: Shadow Lass can use Smoke Cloud. Friendly characters that only occupy squares with these markers can't have lines of fire drawn to them, and opposing characters that only occupy squares with these markers can't draw lines of fire."

Dawnstar's Power

"INTERSTELLAR TRACKING: At the beginning of your turn, choose an opposing character within 10 squares. Lines of fire drawn to that character this turn are only blocked by blocking terrain."


On that note, whether it can or not, is there anything other than Pulse Wave that could get through it?

Shadow Lass trumps Dawnstar. Dawnstar stops LOF from being blocked, but Shadow Lass doesn't even let you draw them.

A line of fire that can't be drawn can't be drawn. It has to be drawn before it can be blocked or not. So, Dawnstar's power doesn't even apply until after Shadow Lass has stopped Dawnstar's power from being relevant.
