so the rule to the Phoenix dial is if a member of the dial is KO'ed then you turn the dial 5 turns. Grundy however cheats death with his ability and tokens. so if you "kill" Grundy and he comes back. do i still get to turn the dial?

You should quote the powers in question.
Quote
THE END OF SOLOMON GRUNDY: At the beginning of the game, place 3 Resurrection tokens on Solomon Grundy's card. Solomon Grundy places 1 Resurrection token on his character card each time he hits an opposing character. When Solomon Grundy would be KO'd and has at least one Resurrection token on his card, instead click him to click #9, heal him of 1 damage for each Resurrection token on his card and remove all Resurrection tokens from his card. This ability can't be ignored.
He is not KO'd unless he has no tokens, so no you would not turn the dial. (except for his official KO)
The FF Grundy however is KO'd each time. His shard would return to the resource after his first KO. Whether or not he would still be considered "assigned" to the Phoenix Force is up for debate right now.
I guess the reverse is then true, those using the phoenix force won't get to do a single click and turn the dial because of his power unless it's the final KO.
