Great piece, cant wait to take it down. I know everyone at my venue will be playing their Team Bases.

Love this team base!!! But could we please get the team asset abilities added to the individual characters. It was bothersome having to check the team or the physical card before but now with these make-your-own bases the abilities are listed all of nowhere. Its not a very big deal at all just a convenience/preference. Thanks.

No traits and no asset ability special powers sucks. Team base looks fun enough though, just feels lacking for a 600 point piece. At least it doesn't get stuck in hindering like the X-Men base does lol

With how the Asset Dial works now, We'll have a chance to make the next Hulk a part of it :) Finally get a chance to just play the Golden Age original Avengers as a TB!

I do want to say that in this instance, WK did a great job designing these balance wise. I won't feel like a total d-bag playing them. This one in particular feels a bit bland, but as a 600 point figure goes I feel it's power level overall is pretty well balanced. Also, since they only fit 5 figures you can only Solo Adventure 2 of them. That's still a lot of free points to put out, but at least it's not 4 figures like some of the other crazy TBs.

avenger tb got the shaft in this deal. xmen tb is alot stronger, squishier but a much better piece overall

I don't think we can say that yet. IMHO, the Asset Powers on the Avengers are better than on the X-Men pieces (ESPECIALLY with Hope's power). I think it will depend on how the Asset Dial starts off. Example:

If it has (1)(5) on it's opening face, simply drop Black Panther and Iron Man into those slots. Now you have the base Running Show + Psy/Pen w/ the ability to remove Invincible and reduce their Defense by -2. And never have to spin your Asset.

Obviously this hinges on the layout of the Asset Dial, but I think it's possible this will happen. The Justice League has 2 Asset icons on it's opening slot. However it's entirely possible this wont happen, and, in fact, this piece wont be saved by it's asset dial. In which case you are correct, X-Men is clearly the better choice. Two-ish more weeks and we'll know for sure.

No, we won't know for sure until the Deadpool set is out and we know for how many sets Wizkids intends to support these team bases. We already have suspected Red Hulk and Daredevil ones which are almost certainly going on the Avengers base.

I don't think this base is behind the X-Men base at all. Heck if you want to talk about asset abilities, the X-Men must have Namor's showing just to ignore hindering terrain for movement! Plus I feel overall the Avengers just have more solid asset abilities (at a cursory glance). I feel the Avengers base has better range and movement to reach out to threats better than the X-Men base does (3 targets vs 2, plus they can shoot 8 squares with P/PB, X-Men have to use a vanilla attack to get that far).

They're both pretty well balanced I think. Pop off Thor from this base and all of a sudden you have 2 figures blasting you for 6 penetrating damage each :surprised

It must really want you to Solo Adventure with Empower/Enhancement loaded at that 600 pt value... working together, 1) Pop off Thor 2)Running Shot 3)Take another shot. Have Thor Running shot, multi target and shoot for 6penetrating....

Can't pop off Thor and do Running Shot in the same Working Together. Both are power actions. Though I do agree, get that beast off the base ASAP if you want tons of damage.

Another possibility is to pop off Prof X, get the free MC, then shoot with P/PB (boosting his 2 damage to a 3).

I would definitely recommend solo to get your full points worth. Pick your three to leave on (I recommend Iron Man, Black Panther for their perplex/outwit deal, and Hope to use whatever suits you at the time) and then u got 6 (current) choices left to choose from for your last 2 slots to use for solo adventures! Gotta looove options!

So lets see here, if I run this team base at 600 pts with AvX Captain America, AvX Thor, AvX Iron Man, AvX Black Panther and AvX Wolverine on it. I could then pop off Captain America and Thor each at their full 200 point values, and essentially get this Team Base with 3 characters attached to it for 200 points?! How does this make any sense Wizkids? When running a full powered team base you might as well be giving them 200 extra points! ughhhh
