Another Copycat Question: ignoring a power, I can roll anyway right?
I remember that the DC75 White Lanterns had powers that let them heal if they rolled for their powers and even if rolling for those powers wouldn't help, they could still roll for them to see if they healed. (Like, Superman heals on a roll of 5-6 for Impervious. If you use psychic blast on him, he still rolls (even though damage won't be reduced) to see if he heals.)
So, with Copycat, important stuff happens if she fails a Shapechange roll.
Suppose, I ignore her Shapechange. I might use Battle Fury. So, she wouldn't get the usual benefit out of Shape Change.
The important difference between PsyBlast/Impervious and Battle Fury/Shape Change is that PsyBlast does not ignore Impervious, it simply prevents the reduction of damage. That is why you still get to roll.
I think that ignoring Shape Change means no roll occurs, but I could be wrong.
While looking to see if there was a precedent for White Lantern's Flash's White Blue power (shape change + heal if SC roll succeeds), I found instead a Mystique thread
But wait, MisterID's ruling was earlier than Normalview's, so Normalview's ruling overrides it. And that was before MisterID was an orange. And Normalview's post was while he was an orange.

I emailed the rules team about the question of Battle Fury vs Shape Change and the reply was:
While the character with Battle Fury will ignore the results of her Shape Change roll, she is not ignoring her own power and will still roll for the effect.

Well that's vindicating, so I guess Mystique gets her roll then?

That's weird.

I would say so, but on the other hand, since the effect is essentially ignored anyways due to Battle Fury, it is merely a formality that Mystique gets her roll.
That isn't to say that Battle Fury outwits Shape Change when facing multiple targets, say two or three, that doesn't have the Battle Fury ability, so multiple Shape Changes are possible.
Sorry for the newby response. I was just calling it as I see it.
