My opponent has Super Dude. Super Dude is 99 points. My opponent assigned the Utility Belt to Super Dude.
I have Copycat. I assigned the Infinity Gauntlet to Copycat. I choose to exchange Copycat for Super Dude.
These are the only two characters in the game. It was a 200 point event and we under-built for it.

Infiltrate My Enemies: Before placing characters in your starting area, you may choose an opposing character that is 100 points or less. Copycat becomes friendly to that character's force and that character becomes friendly to your force. Any game effects assigned to each of them is now assigned to the other. When Copycat fails a roll for Shape Change or uses Regeneration, after actions resolve, this effects ends and any game effects assigned to each of them is now assigned to the other.
So this means my Infinity Gauntlet is assigned to the Super Dude that is now friendly to my force. And my opponent's Utility Belt is now assigned to the Copycat friendly to his force.

A resource included in your force can’t be used by an opposing player, even if an assigned character becomes friendly to an opponent’s force during the game.
This line states my opponent can't use my resource, but that is not occurring in this scenario. Each player is using only his own resource.
Is this understanding correct? Do I get to use my Infinity Gauntlet with Super Dude?

A vehicle can't be dealt damage through the Mastermind power, can’t be assigned a Resource or Relic, and can’t be the pilot of another vehicle.
What if my opponent had the Supermobile in addition to Super Dude and I chose to exchange with the Supermobile? The Supermobile is a vehicle and costs 72 points. How would I deal with the Supermobile now being assigned an Infinity Guantlet? Same way I deal with Warlock being assigned a Gauntlet and becoming a vehicle?
Is the answer the same for the Super Squad (a 65-100 point team base)?

I asked this question via the rules guys email address and they said that as Copycat's trait is optional then you can only use it if it doesn't create an illegal game state. So in the example you won't be able to swap with the vehicle or the team base.

So... how interactions with Lydea Mallor is going to be? I mean, if the effect of copycat triggers before of Growing Darkness, that means that first switch copycat with Lydea, then your new Lydea steals a relic from her original owner, then if you uses Regen with Copycat or fails a Shapechange and returns to orginal owner, then Copycat keeps the relic?
If Copycat do, then Lydea Owners are going to have a bad time.

I believe the Copycat effect will occur first as it says "Before placing characters in your starting area". So if you use Copycat's trait to swap with Lydea, you now place Lydea and can use her trait. She then takes a relic from your opponent's resource and play continues. If during the game the figures swap back Game Elements are also swapped so Copycat will end up with the Relic that Lydea originally stole. (well I am around 90% confident that is the correct order anyway).

So let's say I'm playing Copycat and I have the Penguin Resource assigned to my force. I'm assuming that the character that gets brought onto my force cannot use the effects of Penguin because it was never assigned to Copycat and that character was not part of my force during the time he was assigned.
Is my assumption correct?

I wouldn't have thought so, not 100% when resources are assigned but if the resource is assigned before the swap the effect passes over to the new character. If the resource is assigned after the swap the new character gets it assigned.
The same should go for other resources that are assigned to your whole force such as Power Plant and the BoS.

Bluerat - Penguin is the only resource that is assigned to your Force. The other resources are assigned to each character on your Force. That is the distinction. Power Plant would transfer to the new character, but Penguin would not.
THE PENGUIN ALWAYS TAKES HIS CUT: The Penguin is a resource assigned to your force and is not placed on the map. Once, at the beginning of your turn, you may choose a friendly character. That character can use the power indicated on the dial's current click and modifies its combat values as per the current click. At the end of your turn, if the chosen character was given a non-free action this turn, roll a d6 and compare:
1 = Remove The Penguin from the game and heal the chosen character 1 click.
2-5 = Turn the Penguin's dial to the right once. If The Penguin is KO'd it is removed from the game.
6 = Turn The Penguin to any click on the resource dial.
Assign - The Power Plant is assigned to all characters on your force.
That is why you can use the Penguin with Team Bases. He is not assigned to any characters on your force just your actual force.

Apologies I wasn't aware of the difference in the wording of the resources.
Is Copycat or the swapped character (depending upon which side of the swap you are on) not classed as part of your force after the swap? Also the wording on the resource says "choose a friendly character". It doesn't say "choose a friendly character assigned this resource".
How do replacement characters work with the Penguin Resource?

A replacement character would be different. When you replace a character it retains everything that was assigned to the original character.
My question with Penguin is, does he constantly check for an update as to what is your Force or is that only predetermined when you build your force. If it doesn't update then figures that are brought into play after you've created your force could not use his effects....

Not to be snarky, but I think what someone needs to define is the begining of the game for Copycat and Lydea Mallor. Is it when we sit down or is it right before turn one? Could we please get an orange to specify cause my friends and I aren't sure how to rule this one.
