Really? That much worse than the GL Corps pack with 9 starting AV? ;) Arisia was never all that powerful in the old comics and this seems quite decent for the price... especially with the OW and opening TK (both of which were missing on the old one).
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
This is one of my main wants from WOL since she is my favorite non human GL and I will still get her. But I am very disappointed in how they have her. She is a veteran lantern who before N52 was one of the main lanterns in the comics who did a lot of the harder assignments. But they really made her weak. Not as good as the original version.
I have to retract what I said negatively about her in my earlier comment. We finally had our first WOL event yesterday and she was on 8 of the 12 teams at the event. She is fantastic in what she can do. Between the sidestep, senses, willpower, outwit she can have, TK she starts with and while she may drop fast after getting hit the re-gen at the end of her dial is awesome. She will be on many teams I run in the future. I love her.
I think the dial is very good too, I'm just wanting something a little more powerful for Arisia. I was anticipating her somewhere in the 120-130 point range. After all, this is the same chick that whipped the racist Daxamites into shape (if only for a little while).
I pulled her in a month 1 event, and between her, Boodika and Graf, I'm falling in love with the lost lanterns. My team was Weaponer, Boodika, and Arisa with Entity on her. I went 3/5 (I was probbed out of an attack that would've one-shotted Superboy Prime in round 2, which cost me that game, and in round 5, I just couldn't roll well. Still, I took 8th in the event out of 20 (double kit). But with all the great powers she has, and Entity giving her prob and +1 defense, she was an absolute monster who made Weaponer even deadlier than he already is
some complain that she should be over 100pts, me i love her just the way she is. awesome clix! not what i expected from her (although in all fairness i'm not super familier with her) but brilliant none the less. i never saw her as a tentpole type but backed up by a team of blues she was brutal for my first event's team... love how comic accurate that worked out.
Have you ever had to face her with the Net and a little bit of terrain interference. It is awful. She has sidestep, situational Outwit, willpower, super senses, and tk, all on her top dial. She is one of the best support pieces out there right now.
In an era of wildly under-costed support figures she can still hold her own.
Lots of up-front abilities for the points.
Turn 1: Carry 8 (factoring in -2 for carrying) then sidestep with a locked movement of 2. That's a 10 space carry.
Turn 2: TK with range 6. That's 16 spaces of taxi goodness.
This figure would be garbage were it not for that willpower! That, in combination with sidestep and flight makes the dream come true!
Super senses and situation based outwit is just gravy and really, the outwit is not that restrictive if you position correctly.
I intend to play her as the taxi for Parallax (Hal Jordan) due to his lack of flight. Bring along Boodikka as an off attacker for a 400 theme team maybe?
