If I poison an opposing character with any damage reducer like toughness with Zombie Hunger I get the food token even if the total is recuced?

It always helps to actually quote the power in question.

If their damage reducer prevents them from taking damage, the zombie did not damage them. If the zombie did not damage them, the zombie does not get a Food token.

This is why Rhino is such a fun piece.
