Sonny Boy gets the nod from both my wife and me. Not by much, though. We enjoyed both of those songs.

Great googaly moogaly, two blues tunes won this thing? There's so much I like about both of these tunes, but Elmore gets the nod for having that "stroll" rhythm going on and harkening back to what made 50s R&R so frigging awesome. Actually, could we just end this one in a tie?

I was tempted to just sit back and see how this played out because they are so close. Actually, I had forgotten how the prelims went for this and was a little surprised that i had forgotten the oldtimers had taken the earlier ones. Elmore James sounds a bit fresher, but Williamson has that sound that seems to have influenced the blues in lots of early British Invasion groups, and even early 70's Blues Themed bands. I'm torn, and will be happy no matter who wins.

A vote for Sonny Boy Williamson, please.

Elmore James for me. Both are good, but his is the one I'd be more likely to listen to.
