Hello, I've searched the forums for this to no avail but Ricochet's trait reads
Ricochet Disks When Ricochet draws a line of fire for a ranged combat attack, you may choose an unoccupied square of clear terrain that is adjacent to blocking terrain within ranged and line of fire, then draw your line of fire and count your range as if Ricochet occupied the chosen square.
So here are a few questions:
1.) Do you have to have LoF to your target before drawing the first LoF? Like if my target is behind a wall but I could potentially draw my LoF to a blocking terrain square that has LoF to my target?
2.) Does elevated terrain count as blocking terrain?
3.) Do walls count as blocking terrain?
4.) If I give Ricochet the Violet Battery thing that gives him +1 range for every enemy in his LoF, and I give that to a 2 stacked Sentinel Sentry (4.5) Can I even give that to a stacked bystander token? They count as a a character once stacked right?) and then both the Sentinel and Ricochet can see 3 enemies, so their range becomes 8, so the Sentinel puts down his 1 free blocking terrain marker from his special defense power, then Ricochet shoots the blocking terrain, would the battery effect still apply, essentially giving Ricochet a range of 16? Because that seems ridiculous.
I know Im asking a lot of questions but I would love to know these as soon as possible. Thank you.
1) No. That's basically the point of the trait, so you can draw attack someone you wouldn't normally have line of fire to.
2) No. You can have blocking terrain on elevated terrain, but elevated terrain is not inherently blocking terrain.
3) Yes.
4) I'm not even sure I understand the question here, probably because I have no idea what the violet battery or sentinel sentry say without looking them up.

Wait, Vlad... Walls do count as blocking terrain? I thought that for special powers like this they didn't. Kind of like with the Campuflage feat. Walls do block line of fire (like blocking terrain does), but I thought for SPs / traits if they reference blocking terrain, it actually has to be blocking terrain.

From what i understand walls are indeed blocking terrain. But i havent played a game forever and don't know if any new rulings were made and such, but from what i remembered walls were blocking terrain. Reason is I had a ruling for my Terrax where i was standing next to three walls and the judge ruled they were indeed blocking terrain so i got the bonus to damage for that attack.

Walls are blocking terrain. But they're not squares of blocking terrain.

That ruling was botched, then. Walls are blocking terrain, but they're not squares of blocking terrain, which is what Terrax's power looks for.

Thanks for helping clearing that up, but if I had a way to give Ricochet +1 to his range, would I retain that +1 when drawing my line of fire from a square of blocking terrain? So his range would be 5+1 from the buff, then would it be 12 in total if I used blocking terrain for the boost?

I can't see why not.
