While it may be redundant, we again want to thank everyone for their patience and suggestions during what has been a hectic few months. We continue to hear that product that we hoped would get us caught up is only scratching the surface and while disappointing for many we hope this bodes well to the future success of the Dice Masters line.
We have the following updates on shipments planned for Marvel Dice Masters: Avengers vs. X-Men:
There are several shipments of reprints on their way to the US. The next wave of Starters will arrive at the end of June with another wave of Gravity Feeds arriving in late July. Despite our best efforts to fill demand with these reprints, the product is still pre-selling before it arrives. We were able to bring on a very sizable amount of capacity which has enabled us to add a reprint to the schedule (available in September).
We are also keeping an eye on the longshoremen labor dispute on the U.S. West Coast, and will deal with that issue if and when it happens. Obviously, any sort of strike will ripple through most of our product lines so we’re monitoring the situation keenly.
Briefly on the factory/capacity situation: we believe we are, or will be soon, the largest dice manufacturer in the world. Fortunately, making dice and making small plastic figures is essentially the same process. As we get our arms around the demand, moving volume between factories is pretty straight forward and it is one of the reasons we are able to add reprints while also printing the next set. We appreciate the patience as we grow the Dice Masters business.
Organized Play
While it’s difficult to discuss in-store play programs when there isn’t enough product, we want to reinforce that we are in this for the long term and as such we’re looking ahead to when supply issues will be behind us. To that end we’ve taken another deep dive into our sealed booster program and have worked hard to come up with what we feel to be a new exceptional experience. We call it the Rainbow Draft format and you can read more about it here. We believe this format showcases how Dice Masters is a unique and worthy in-store organized play experience. While the previous formats are all still valid, the Rainbow Draft will likely be preferred by most of your customers.
That’s it for now, again we hope to get ahead of demand and we thank everyone for their continued support.
Interesting. I'll give this Rainbow Draft thing a shot but I suspect that constructed will be the favoured format. Maybe its just the draft that I'm hesitant about.
I am about done with it already. Got a starter and know no one else with them. Half the characters I am not thrilled with and out of 20 or so boosters have 2 rares, Deadpool and Dr Oct for I could care less about. Might just sell what I have and not look back.
Magic is not for Parlor Tricks~

I wasn't really thinking singles - more the $1.00 a booster cost, which I think is very reasonable. (Of course, even if you could find them anywhere right now I'm sure they're not $1.00.)
If they were really smart they'd get someone to make an app version of the game. Not only would it fix kaewin's problem, it would tide people over until they can actually release the game proper.
Has there ever been a game with this much hype whose launch was screwed up so badly?
Oh, you mean the FOUR cards, out of almost 140 in the set? Yeah, those are real important, and I'm sure owning all four of those is requisite to enjoying the game. Oh, WAIT, it isn't and that wasn't the poster's suggestion, at all, was it? She said the game was, "...Flat-out awesome."
However, I'm sure grappling with the comment, "Relatively inexpensive.." is what turned on your nego-meter.

Unless you're a completeist, who cares how much they are? I've beaten gobby and tsarina many times and I've also lost to them. You can field a very competitive team with just uncommons.

Thanks for dropping in, though!
Just to clarify.... I'm a he. But I mostly agree. The SR's are essentially chases, which isn't ideal, but they're also not "must-haves."
As far as prices... ALL the prices are inflated at this point because of the release debacle. They'll go down, as will everything else, when they finally release more.

Come on hair, it's not the wait it's the Wizkids. If it was FFG we both know it would've been a minimum of 6 months before the first reprint hit and you would have forgiven them and I would have been the one here complaining. At least with Wizkids the first reprint got here in time I didn't have to complain. I actually had product but was waiting for my friends to get theirs, but I still would've complained about not having opponents.
