I like this Nekron. He's powerful, and (relatively) low cost.

I can see any OMA not sporting a 5 Damage having a major problem beating him because the minus 1 brings any 4Dam down to only "Pinging" Nekron. Also in a 300pt game he doesn't have to worry about his Power Level going down because he'll have 0 friendlies to lose. Still this is the larger base, so I'm not sure how effective he'll be against a team with two attackers unless they both start with a 3 Damage & he can nueter one while he KO's the other. So much better than the B&tB version and, while Harder to play than 300pt Phoenix Cyclops, a really skilled played could likely go 2-1 unless they drew just the worst of pairings. For 400-500 I'll be curious to see if this point level can find a niche. I would think in 500 you could at least have a ton of fun w/ 200pts of ASM 'Monster' Generics.

What do you guys think about this. When he chooses a character at the beginning of the turn to get those -1, then let's say he mind controls that character thus making them friendly so now they get +1 instead because it's still the chosen character.

I wasn't sure how well this version, on it's own (without the other dials, I mean), would perform... but I used him last week as part of a 700 point Black Lantern Corps theme, and he didn't go down at all the whole tournament (close in one round though). I figured he would have a big target on his back at 700 points, with so much other stuff to target him, but the Black Lantern Corps backup he had performed well and kept him alive and let him get stronger and stronger with the Powers Rising dial.

I like the low costs option but the Plasticity never does me any good on this figure. Some more Sidestep top dial would have been a treat.

Even if the 700 and 1000 dials might be a little stronger, I like this one the best because you can play lots of other Black Lanterns with him, including making almost any character a Black Lantern if you have the Black Hand entity (so far I've done Nightmare and Dr. Strange).
