Congratulations to Kevin Afrooz, the winner of the first Northwest ROC:CHAOS ROC Super Qualifier in Salem, Oregon on May 24th.
For winning this awesome event Kevin won: ROC map, Top 8 ROC hat, One Convention Exclusive, The ROC plaque, 100 Max points, dice, special Objects Plus other great prizes and a seat at the ROC Championship @ Dragon*Con in Atlanta.
To find out what team Kevin used as well as who the other top players were keep reading....
Players from across the Northwest and beyond traveled to Salem, OR for the 4th Annual Chaos! for Kids fundraiser event on June 25th!! It was the last hurrah of Highfather, who made a strong showing on many teams during Heat One in the last major ROC event before the Watch List changes took effect.
After four grueling rounds, the top 14 players moved on to meet previous event winners wonderboy and ASUaction in Heat Two! The match ups broke down as such:
Round 1:
wonderboy vs Weston
macedogga vs FatTony1985
nadeking vs Troma99
Banereaver vs opimius
ASUaction vs Afrooz
jpoof22 vs spawn10
TheRoyaleWe vs Schroedermeister
pupulesurfer vs webhead41
Round 2:
nadeking vs banereaver
Afrooz vs Webhead41
Schroedermeister vs FatTony1985
spawn10 vs wonderboy
Round 3:
Nadeking vs Afrooz
FatTony1985 vs spawn10
Round 4
Afrooz vs spawn10
In the end, Afrooz triumphed over his teammate and traveling partner spawn10 to secure his first ROC Super-Qualifier win!! All in all the day was a great success, raising over $300 for the North Salem High School wrestling team and bringing the total amount raised through events like this to just under $7000 over the course of four years! Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out and we hope to see you all again at our next big event!
Finally, I would like to apologize to Afrooz and all the other participants for the delay in getting this report in. Your support means a great deal to myself and the team in general and I have no excuses for not getting this in sooner. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Also stay tuned for the next podcast episode of "The Quarry" which will feature the Northwest ROC:CHAOS ROC Super Qualifier , a interview with Kevin Afrooz along with other pertinent ROC information.
I think 5th place was cheating since Daniel was somehow using M10 Superman and M10 Batman! lol But I am pleased to see some of these older figures making it into the top 5 player's forces in these events.
Even tho the top two are the same its fun to see a lot of diversity,
Only 1 Pharaoh, 2 Highfathers, 1 Switch. The rest is pretty various, TB, Uata made an appearance, DP Zombie Rhino (awesomesauce) and one Black Talon.
Traveling partners...playing the exact same team...and then face each other in the finals, who would have thought. Kind of boring =/ Congrats all the same and im happy to see Spawn10 finally NOT dominate a ROC he attended

That's not entirely true lol. It was a fun event and Kevin and Patrick were the only two I lost to all day. They ran different teams in round one and it was fun to play both of them. I played Kevin in round one and Patrick in round two. New mutants team base is ridiculous especially with a copycat on board for theme. Both Kevin and Patrick are stand up guys and it was fun to lose to them.
This was a great event, I'm really glad to have gotten to play with everyone on this list. The New Mutants teambase with Copycat was just a brutal matchup for my team, as it took away Shatterstar and left me both with no one to really significantly harm from the lack of resource usage and without any way to get aggressive and up in the team base's grill before the solo adventures had happened.
It was a really great tactical choice for the event, which was the last week of Highfather's pre-watchlist day in the sun.
