So there are all the events for DragonCon 2014 and the prizes that we will be offering, at a bare bones minimum. We are constantly expanding our prize pool through various means (I had an entire OP kit set of LE's donated to me yesterday for DragonCon that is not included above).
There are a couple things I would like to touch on before I close.
1. During Heat 3 (aka the Finals) everyone will play with ROC dice that we issue on site.
2. During the single elimination portion of the finals Dice Cups will be issued to every map (at least) and each player will be required to use it for any and all rolls of the dice. Any rolls made not using the Dice Cup will be considered invalid and will be ignored by all parties involved.
NOTE:
If you have the points necessary to enter Heat 1, Heat 2 or Heat 3/Finals we still require that you sign up at the DragonCon HeroClix administration area at by the following deadlines:
Heat 1: Sign up by noon on Saturday
Heat 2: Sign up by 8PM on Saturday
Heat 3/Finals: Sign up by 11AM Sunday
This allows for proper planning and preparation. You may also pick up the applicable army sheet at that time.
Type A: 2 booster sealed event, $20
Each player builds the best 300 point team from their pull
Type B: 300 Modern Age, $15
**Battle Royals (4 man) $10 to enter (1 booster)
Played on 16x16 map, 1 hour after start shock the turtle begins.
Set Used: Guardians of the Galaxy (if available)
QUARTER TABLE!
That's right! The famous Quarter Table will be up and running at DragonCon this year. With figures ranging from Infinity Challenge to the most current sets (WoL figures too). All for 25 cents each.
We will also have a raffle (guess how many clix in the box) where you can win a Zombie Chase as well as multiple LE's. All money raised here goes to the official DragonCon charity. The Atlanta Community Food Bank!

What we do in life echoes in eternity!
Respect is a given, only disrespect can be earned.
There doesn't seem to be a point value associated with the silver age prelims of the finals. I assume this is going to be 300 points? The top 16 does specify it's the 300 modern.
bit confused, what counts as qualifying for the next heat tier is it top 4 qualify and can then sign up for heat 2 or the top 16? i assume the #1 automatically gets a pass to the next heat phase. but im just confused on how that works for the rest of the players who weren't #1 but placed high. do they still need points to get into heat 2?

I will put a link to the full schedule write up I already did.

The Dragon*Con site doesn't have the GotG sealed event listed, though.
And this year's charity is the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Thanks for the info, I will check on the GotG event.

If you play in Heat 1 and place in the top half (maximum top 32, if there are 64 or more players) you qualify for Heat 2.
So it takes 20 points to get into Heat 1.
To get into Heat 2 you need 100 points or place in the top half (again 32 players max) of Heat 1.
To get into Heat 3 you need 200 points or place in the top half of Heat 2 (top 32 max).
In Heat 1 & 2 the top "half" will be rounded up depending on how many players entered but to a max of 32.
