I was looking over Morro yesterday, and while his Cryptkeeper trait looks fantastic, I was curious as to how/if it activates with someone who doesn't have the Green Lantern keyword on their card.
Let's say that I have Ion possess Deadpool, so Deadpool gets the Green Lantern Corps keyword, Cosmic, and Entity in addition to his printed keywords. If Deadpool gets KO'ed (causing Ion to be removed from the game), would Morro get to use one of Deadpool's standard powers, or would Deadpool revert to his printed keywords?
TL;DR: Does a character keep any keywords given to them during a game when they get KO'ed?

Please quote the power
CRYPTKEEPER OF THE CORPS: When another friendly character with the Green Lantern Corps keyword is KO'd, turn it to any click and then place it on this card. Morro can use any standard powers on that click.
ENTITY POSSESSION: When Ion would be KO'd or, if you pay 25 points when building your force, place Ion on another friendly character's card if that character is 25 points or more, has the "fist" or "sharpshooter" symbol, the "shield" or "indomitable" symbol, and the "tiny" or "burst" symbol. That character has Ion's keywords and can use the Possessed ability with this character as the Possessor. When that character is KO'd, Ion is removed from the game.
Both powers trigger upon KO. The player with the initiative would get to choose the order of events. If they choose for Ion to be removed first then you could not add Deadpool to Morrow's card. If that player chooses Morrow's effect to activate first then you could add Deadpool to his card. Morrow only checks for the Keyword at the time of KO. After that he doesn't care.

So, along the same lines, what about someone who's a Corps Member?
CORPS MEMBERS: When a friendly character has any Constructs on its card, it is called a Corps Member and is assigned the Power Battery. Friendly Corps Members can use the ability of the Constructs on its card and the ability of the Power Ring attached to the Power Battery. If a friendly Corps Member is KO'd, any Constructs on its card are re-attached to the Power Battery. If the Power Battery is KO'd, all Constructs are removed from friendly Corps Members' cards.
Green Lantern Ring
Relic: 5-6.
WILL: If this character already has the Green Lantern Corps keyword, modify all of its combat values except damage by +1. Otherwise, this character has the Green Lantern Corps keyword, can use Willpower, and when an opposing character targets it with Outwit or Perplex, roll a D6. On a result of 4-6, ignore that effect.

That would need to go to the rules team. The timing is not clear. It just says if the character is KO'd return the constructs. So it isn't clear if it happens after they are KO'd or when they are KO'd.
If it happens when they are KO'd then it is the same thing as Ion. If it happens after they are KO'd then they will always be able to be placed on Morrow's card.

I would have to say no on the Corps Member because they lose the Construct (as stated, when the figure is KO'd) so they would lose the keyword and lose that option. Granted, I agree with Dragon that you should ask the Rules Team as they may check with intent... but I can't imagine it's the intent for a non-Lantern (who became a Lantern through the Battery/Ring) to be effected by this trait.
-Heroclix is not a game of logic, it's a game of strategy .... after all, when's the last time that you saw a giant (using a stealth ability) that was hiding behind a swingset... and nobody could SEE him????
Cool. I am going to have to look thru all Bystander Pogs and see which ones have Powers.
By pushing them to KO with a Construct on, I will accomplish two things:
1) Give Morro the powers
2) Help spin the Battery
Skadi's Warbot
I wonder if you would be able to do that considering the bolded.
CRYPTKEEPER OF THE CORPS: When another friendly character with the Green Lantern Corps keyword is KO'd, turn it to any click and then place it on this card. Morro can use any standard powers on that click.
Because you can't do the bolded I think you may not be able to do the rest.

My understanding is that you are correct with this assessment.

I'm sorry... could you give me a citation of where that rule is found in the rulebook or PG? Or is this a "because I say so" ruling from the Rules Team? :P
LOL!
