I was judging at a recent heroclix tourney, and the following question was brought up: "If i target 2 characters adjacent to one another with Energy Explosion, will one take splash damage from the other?" My answer was yes, but the PAC says: The area of effect may include all untargeted characters that are adjacent to one or more hit targets assigned at least 1 damage. I used the " odds=yes, evens=no roll off to solve the confusion, but i need clarification. Does the wording of this power mean targeted characters DO NOT take splash damage? Do only the figs adjacent to the targeted characters take splash damage? thanks in advance!!

Targeted characters do not take spash damage

This has been the case for a while now. You can EITHER target OR splash. No double dipping for EE.

The bit you quote says right there that only untargeted characters take splash damage. If you target a character, they will not receive any splash damage.

I was just going over this when i pulled my prime Dr. Spectrum. SAdly, no more double dipping, not even with PW.
