Agreed, the entity is for all intents & purposes a resource, not a character on your team. Sorry, I don't see how this is huge. Huge is flyers carrying flyers or carried figure taking an action.

This was my exact thought. I also do not understand how this is a game changing ruling?

It's kinda sad that they had to put it in writing. I mean that rule can basically be inferred. To me it seems like common sense, but there's always gonna be those people who try to break the game...

No, it really doesn't. Entities that are off the map are just that, off the map. They can't be legal targets unless a game effect specifically allows them to be so.

Which stops bat-mite from bringing an entity on to the map even though you only paid 25 points for it.

What he said. It's not new at all, and much like the Batmite clarification, it's completely superfluous with the existing rules and only made "necessary" due to a previous bad ruling.

I don't see the "huge" part and that does seem consistent with how I've understood things to work.

But even so. With how popular the entities are, it's good to have it clearly spelled out from time to time how these sorts of interactions go down.

It if it isn't an errata or change to the rules as written, then it will be listed as just another ruling. Otherwise it will be in bold and have the word ERRATA! with it.

There have already been several erratas or "extreme" clarifications posted via the official rules forum.

Yeah, I admit I missed it in the PG (or simply forgot) since there is not really all that much in there and...OK, I jest.

I simply forgot about that part since vehicle abuse has been substantially curbed and it just hasn't come up in a while.

Why the OP is big (at the time) IMO is because of Entities (which are friendly characters) and the Bat Signal, Prof X and previously Bat-Mite.
