The Orange Battery has the emotional spectrum ability
EMOTIONAL SPECTRUM: GREED: If the Power Battery, attached Power Ring, and Constructs are all the same color, give the Power Battery a power action and choose a power, combat ability or team ability that a friendly Corps member can use. Opposing characters can't use that power or ability until your next turn.
Let's say one of my characters has the sharpshooter symbol. This means they possess the sharpshooter combat ability and can use the improved targeting combat abilities of ignoring opposing characters and may make a ranged combat attack targeting adjacent opposing characters.
Now if I used the orange battery's emotional spectrum and selected improved targeting would I prevent my opponent from using any improved targeting or just the ones that sharpshooter allows me to use?
The same goes for improved movement, does having some improved movement ability mean I can prevent my opponent using any improved movement abilities.

Improved targeting (movement) is the combat ability. The little colored boxes and symbols just tell you exactly how IT or IM works. This is why you can, with one use of Outwit, counter all of a character's IT or IM, regardless of how many little symbols there are.
So barring a clarification from the RT that Greed is looking for specific combinations of IT or IM, choosing *ANY* IT or IM from your force will prevent opposing characters from using any of their IT or IM.

That's the way I thought it works, mainly because of how outwit works with them as you mentioned, but just wanted to ask. Getting rid of any improved movement is a pretty powerful effect, especially on some maps, I guess it is somewhat balanced though as it takes 2 turns to set up, one turn for the battery to assign a construct and then one turn to use the emotional spectrum. Definitely my Battery of choice though.
