Without warning, the peace and tranquillity of the lush, earthly paradise of the Living Island is shattered as the deafening roar of the Destiny Portal echoes out across the jungle.
"This is... different?" Scirocco remarks, drawing in a deep breath as he savours the multitude of scents of the unspoiled wilderness. "Bah, what power can be there to claim, what enemies to conquer and subjugate beneath the heels of Nemesis in this accursed greenery?" Nemesis fumes, hissing clouds of steam escaping from his armour adding to the oppressive, tropical heat.
"I sense... vast power here" Ghost Widow whispers, cocking her head "Could it be our foes or..."
"Oh no... nononononononono!" Aeon suddenly gasps, going pale as a sheet as seventeen separate alarms suddenly go off at once on his instruments.
"We have to get out of here. RIGHT NOW!"
"Enough of your cowardice, Aeon" Scirocco scowls. "You know as well as I that if there is power here it is our sworn duty to either claim it for our Master... or neutralise it".
"You don't understand!" Aeon's voice reaches a fevered pitch, almost breaking under the panicked strain.
"My readings... this place! There's only other place I've seen anything like this... no, not just like this. EXACTLY like this. EDEN! And not just any place in Eden..." Aeon continues as trembling fingers continue to dance over his instruments. "...the Abyss. the epicentre of the Abyss!"
A deadly hush falls over the assembled agents of Arachnos before Aeon continues in a shaky whisper.
"We're standing DIRECTLY on top of whatever this world's version of the Hamidon is... and it's WAKING UP!!!!"
1) "Remain calm... no-one make any sudden movements" Scirocco mutters, his normally stoic and resigned demeanour badly shaken by Aeon's news while the doctor fiddles frantically with his instruments, jumping from foot to foot. Aeon shuffles forward to I3/J3
Everyone else remains very, very still for now, keeping their First Turn Immunity active!
Living Island roll: 4 and I am instantly vindicated in my first turn cowardice! An Earthquake strikes! All of your characters are protected by First Turn Immunity as are all of mine, except Dr. Aeon who shrugs off the damage thanks to Toughness!

free) "It seems that not moving isn't much of a solution to our predicament" Scirocco remarks drily as Aeon is almost buried alive in an avalanche of mud, dirt and rocks. "But perhaps my magic may yet chain the monster in its slumber!" Scirocco points his sword towards the sky and calls upon the power of the Malleus Mundi, dark clouds gathering high above the Living Island (Kooey Kooey Kooey?). Scirocco takes an Epic Action to active his Ritual.
1) "Lord Nemesis does not cower before greenery and rumbling rocks! Nemesis conquers land, he is not conquered by it!" Nemesis picks up Scirocco and flies to C6, placing Scirocco in B5
2) "We must end this quickly, before this island becomes their grave" Ghost Widow envelops herself and Diabolique in flash of Dead-light and vanishes. Widow teleports to A8 and places Diabolique in A7
3) "Ah, wait... what do you mean? What are you doing. Why aren't we running away, NOW!" Dr. Aeon spits and sputters as he frees himself from the entangling plants, teleporting to A4/A3. He takes 1 from the push, adding a Ritual token to Scirocco's card.

free) "The time to strike is now!" Lord Nemesis commands, rolling for leadership, roll is: 1 and a failure.
1) Ignoring the fact that others are ignoring him, Nemesis teleports to B8 and takes 1 from the push.
2) "I'll never get tired of this part" Diabolique smiles madly as she reaches out to touch Nemesis' massive, metal-clad shoulder. Diabolique supports Nemesis with Covenant of the Furies. 10 atk. vs 16 def. Needs a 6. Roll is: (4,1) for a 5 and a miss! (and the damn foliage keeps me from re-rolling!) Invigorate still kicks in, removing tokens from Widow and Nemesis both.
free) "Hm.... also unexpected" Scirocco muses as he calls upon the power of the Malleus Mundi again. Scirocco takes an Epic Action to initiate his Great Ritual once more. No pushing damage thanks to Willpower
3) Ghost Widow lets out an exasperated sight and floats back to Scirocco's side. Widow teleports to C6
Dr. Aeon clears and will PC any successful attack he might see. Nemesis will use Protected against a successful hit from Grundy

Legion of Doom turn 3B:
Bizarro roll is a 5 and he moves to click 5.
1. Grundy charges to C9 and attacks Nemesis with his HO. 10 on 16, he gets 1,5 for the hit and 4 damage after Invuln. I'm assuming Protected would be used here. If not, go ahead and change and give Grundy the second click of damage. 1 push damage to Grundy.
2. Cheetah moves to C8.
3. Toyman moves to D9.
4. Grodd moves to A9, grabbing the LO from D15.
Island roll is a 6. The island fires a blast at Ghost Widow. 10 on 18, he gets 6,3 for the hit and 3 damage.

Arachnos: Turn 4
free) Once again, the skies above answers the call from below, striking down the imperfect copy of Superman with a thunderous lightning bolt of earth-shattering force! Scirocco's ritual triggers, dealing one damage to Bizarro which takes away his last token and KO's him. 1 KO for Scirocco
1) "How dare you befoul the air that Lord Nemesis breathes with your presence, impudent cretins! Away with you!" Lord Nemesis uses Masters of Evil to push and try to break. Roll is: 6 and he gets it! Nemesis shuffles a few steps backwards to B6 and takes 1 from the push
2) "NOW! Foolish wench, unleash your blasted magic already!" Nemesis fumes, hissing clouds of steam escaping his over-taxed armour. Diabolique pushes to Support Nemesis with Covenant of the Furies. 10 atk. vs 15 def. Needs a 5. Roll is: (6,5) for an 11 and a convincing hit! Support roll is: 6! Lord Nemesis heals 4 clicks and is returned to full health! (And I take back every bad word I said about the dice roller after missing the first support roll!). 1 SA and 1 from the push for Diabolique. Invigorate kicks in and removes a token from Nemesis.
free) His systems suddenly over-loaded to the brim with eldritch and ancient malevolent magic, Nemesis roars in fury loud enough to shake the already annoyed island as he rushes forward like a comet before unleashing an exploding burst of energy like a star going nova! Nemesis uses Covenant of the Furies to make a Running Shot to B10, unleashing a Pulse Wave targeting Grodd, Scarecrow and Toyman (giant size). 10 atk. vs 17, 15 and 14 def. Needs a 7 for everyone, a 5 for Grodd and Crane and a 4 for Crane alone. Roll is: (1,2) for a 3 and a total miss on everyone... (*sigh* the Dice Roller giveth and it taketh away...)
3) "Well... that was some impressive special effects... if nothing else" Aeon mutters as he activates his personal teleporter. Aeon uses Move and Attack and moves to D8/E8, attacking Cheetah. 9 atk. vs 16 (+1 from her trait) def. Needs an 8. Roll is: (6,4) for a 10 and a hit! Super-senses for Cheetah is: 1 and a failure. Cheetah takes 2. 1 SA for Doctor Aeon who ends his movement in E7/F7
"I've got some... experience with feisty female felines" Dr. Aeon remarks with a grimace of distaste as he appears out of thin air behind Cheetah. "And you, my dear, while no doubt delightful, are no Mynx!" An energy enhanced power gauntlet catches the surprised Cheetah in the back of the head to emphasise Aeon's words before he teleports back a few feet... ending up hopelessly entangled in the foliage!
Scirocco and Widow both clear and Aeon will PC any successful attack he might see
Kooey Kooey Kooey roll: 4 EARTHQUAKE!
The entire island rumbles and shakes in a very succinct display of deep displeasure! Nemesis, Grundy, Grodd, Toyman and Aeon shakes off the damage with various damage reducers, but everyone else takes a click of damage!
And I just realised that I forgot to roll for the Kinetic Accelerator when Nemesis shuffled off it, so I'll just do that now. Roll is: 2 for no effect
