So, 400pt team, Black Witch and Super Skrull, book of skull. He drops disintegrate ring and Magik fragment that he changes from normal or objects. So, my question... He can do this? That's multiple different types of relics. It's insane. I actually was playing Validus with the yellow battery and took the witch out early, but shortly after he hit me with the beam and removed my battery from the game. I mean that's insane right? Is all this valid?
I'd point out the your opponent's character probably had to take an action to move out of the starting area, take another action make a 50% roll to pick up, then as a third action (so we're already four to five turns into the game at least) successfully make a 1 in 6 roll (possibly with a prob control chance) to do what is described here. So it's not like they didn't roll well or like it didn't take some effort.

Black Witch is female and yes, SHE can do that. Also, quote the power so people can understand what you're talking about.
When I said he I meant the player. And my bad about the text

SORCERER'S WORLD: After objects are placed, Black Witch may exchange any standard objects that are 5 or more squares from her starting area with distinct relics from outside the game totaling no more than 20 points.
So basically he can play with a resource AND other relics from the game. That's some exploitation to the max if I've ever seen it. Also...

Disintegration Beam
When this character hits an opposing character with a relic or resource assigned to it, or holding an object, and the attack roll is 10 or more, remove that relic, resource or object from the game. When this character hits an opposing character that is 150 points or less, until your next turn, any time the hit character can use Impervious, Invincible or Invulnerability it uses Toughness instead.
So, I'm using the Sinestro battery. He hits me with this with a 10. So I just remove my battery from the game then? Just like that? Gone? And he still gets to use his ridiculous book AND the other relics he brought in? That's just insane.
Mind you, I killed both Black Witch (very quickly) and Super Skrull, but the OP Zombie Chase just comes back and picks whatever powers he wants to attack me with -_-.
Don't get me wrong I did throw my team together 5 minutes before play, and I could've better synergized but this type of exploitation has to be why Pro tournaments are 300 points.

From a possible POV, you are correct.
From a probable POV, it's unlikely.
Rolling a 10+ on an attack roll with the figure assigned the Disintegration Ring targeting a figure assigned a resource is a case of luck and not strategy or tactics.
If you played the same game over again I'd bet you wouldn't lose the Battery.
Black Witch + D-Ring is on the lower part of the "things WK designed ridiculously" - maybe around #30...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
The Disintegration Beam Ring is a mixed bag. It'll either obliterate the opposing resource on a lucky shot, do almost nothing, or get burned for stat boosts or an Outwit. (Though the last option wasn't available to your opponent.)
It's a good strategy to bring it in via Black Witch, for sure. A lot of games, including an ROC Championship Match I've seen, have completely shifted after a lucky first strike with the D Beam melted a resource.
If your opponent hadn't landed that lucky shot straight away, I expect it would have been a different match. Validus is tough already, and running him with a Yellow Battery is simple and effective.
"It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no one else will speak." "Prove you have the strength and courage to be free."
When I really look back at the match, the real trouble I powered through. I actually killed both Black Witch and Zombie Super Skrull the first time but he just revived. So after all that trouble that was the main thing that got me, or the combination of it all. Super Skrull could attack often and was very hard to kill when he just took the best power for the situation every turn.
Again I did hastily put the team together and the guy said he spent a bunch of Xmas money and time putting his team together and he really wanted to try it, but all I saw was exploits and "my money wins". I probably could beat it, now that I see how it works and if I put a better team forward.
