Ummm...no. the 235 point dial is better for the points. Seriously 165 points for 6 clicks of despero's worst clicks? I don't think this point value will see much play
Win/Loss: 2-1 So a scenario called for me to use Despero at his "Experienced" dial as I would always reach for the "Veteran" version. This may surprise those players who know me as I generally avoid 200 point pieces but Despero is special and a lot of that specialness is brought over on the 165 point mark - namely the mass amount of immunities and his bonuses vs those certain powered pieces. Against teams relying on Outwit and Psy-Blast, Despero really is a menace. It takes a lot of effort to get through that first click of Imperv. Offensively, his ignoring of characters for movement allows him free reign across a battlefield picking whatever target he wants (namely those with the 4 prerequisite powers). His Super-Strength was instrumental with scoring KO's and his hits would send hi targets flying into walls. Where he falters is hi end dial. Once that Imperv is cracked, you have below average defenses and weaker reducers. Worse, his attack values are so terrible he can barely make use of his Steal Energy. This is where things like entities or equipment can help him. Using him at 165, though, has rekindled my urge to use him at 235...
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
