Moving through force fields in Castle Doom Gardens
Quote
Castle Doom Gardens
Thick orange lines along the grid of this map are force fields. The effects of this terrain cannot be ignored.
When determining if a line of fire is blocked, treat force fields as walls. However, force fields are not walls or blocking terrain; they can’t be destroyed and characters can’t move over or through them using any power, ability, or effect (such as Phasing/Teleport or the Flight ability). Characters on opposite sides of force fields are not adjacent.
The rules for the map only state that you can't move through force fields using any power, ability or effect. The quesition is, can you move through force fields if you are not using any power or ability (or effect)?
Characters with Improved Targetting: Blocking should be able to TK somebody across, right? And also just shoot right through them?
And anything that places characters and doesn't require line of sight just ignores them completely.
You can't TK people through the walls even if you have improved targeting, because the destination square needs to have a line of fire to the target character. Also the question was "Can you move through the walls?".

Sure... if you can think of a way to move through walls without the use of any power, ability or effect. Unfortunately I can't.
But the map rules says that power fields should be treated as walls for line of fire purposes, but movement has nothing to do with line of fire. So the question is still can you give a non flying charcter a move action and move through the power fields, since a move action is not a power, abilty or effect?

I'll agree it's not a power or ability.
What's the definition of "effect" though?
Pip the Troll is placed anywhere on the map through his SP:

If you do, he can make a close combat attack as a free action.
Spiral can place her gateway tokens anywhere on the map. That would effectively bypass the force fields:

I saw a ruling for pulse wave and knockback on Wizkids Forums. Which apparently wizkids ruled that you could ignore flight combat ability or combat reflexes/charge for knockback but not multibase characters because multibase characters cannot be knockback based on the rulebook.
I believe anything from the rulebook is "non-effect" that isn't included in a PAC or character/object/resource (and whatever I am missing)'s card.

Since pulse wave ignores game effects... I wanted to make the clear.
And... The only thing I can think can go through that, is having really large figure which couldn't fit in the starting zone. You could technically extend the starting zone to fit that character. I don't think you can do that in a four player game, since your opponent starting zone extends I think as well.

Pulse Wave ignores game effects USED or POSSESSED by the target characters. Both of these are very specific game terms. Being a multi-based character is not an effect used or possessed by the character. It is just something that is part of the character, much like combat values. That is why it is not ignored during PW.
