once upon a time rules that may or may not exist any more
Ive been playing clix since critical mass, i used to be a registered heroclix judge, but i have some issues from the past i would like to be refreshed in at least my head.
Do you still get super sences against force blast
Does battle fury prevent possession
Does "as a range of x" get replaced with a sniper rifle so they have 10 range
If i mind control someone that ko's someone does it count as the mind controler ko the fig
If you get knock back down an elevation change by going down the arrow would you take falling damage, and if you take knock back to higher elevation via the red arrow would you take blocking damage or would you roll up stairs
If you have improved movement ignore characters do you still have make a kc roll, cause you dont ignore team ability just the character
I ask this one cause kc flash is the first piece we got since i.m. Came out
Can jl deadman possess 3 figs with the aid of doc oct arms
Sorry i Cant post the actual text for the most of these questions.

Super Senses is triggered when you are hit by an attack. Force Blast used as a power action is not an attack. Force Blast now also enhances attacks, though.

Did it ever? Well, it doesn't now. Possession isn't a power named Mind Control, doesn't say it is a modified version of Mind Control, etc.

Last I checked, "as a range of X" is treated as a replacement value. Since Sniper Rifle has received a desperately needed errata that it is the first replacement value in any sequence, the X would replace the 10.

No.

The arrows only allow you to make close combat attacks as if you were adjacent, and to allow movement across the red border line. They don't interact with Knock Back in any way, so getting knocked back into an arrow square will do whatever damage is appropriate.

It's been a while since I saw a ruling on this, but I *think* if you ignore a character you ignore the character. Hypertime nee Kingdom Come will not trigger.

The power says "against an opposing character". That's your limit. Nothing to do with the number of the piece has.
Bummer on the triple possession yay on the 10 range possession. Cant wait to be able to share a snipper rifle so leash can capture 10 away and deadman possess 10 away
Deadman and Jericho are the only characters in the game with Possession, so most rulings regarding it are buired. I recall some sort of clarification that Battle Fury prevented it somehow, but I'm not sure.
Improved Movement: Characters does ignore KC, because KC is a character effect. It has to be the full fledged IM: Characters with the Black Circle though, the double circle type you get with HSS doesn't cut it.

Knockback is a form of movement though...

A knocked back character is moved back
one square for each 1 damage taken. Move the
character in a straight line away from the attacking
character—called the knock back path—even if
that path is on a diagonal.

Well I've only seen guys roll up and down stairs at the few places I've played. Doesn't happen a lot because folks seem to always position themselves to knock people off ledges or into wall away from access points, but no one has ever taken stair damage that I can remember. Though they should because falling down stairs and up (unless you are drunk silly) really hurts.
I think Super Senses was always rolled for Force Blast attacks as well. This one might be worth looking into and remembering.

As mentioned above, it shouldn't be happening anywhere.

Long ago you would roll for Super Senses because FB was a close combat action which automatically succeeded. Thus it was an attack which triggered SS.
That stopped when SS became a power action.

I think you misread that answer. The sniper rifle now reads:
"This character's range value becomes 10 (before any other replacement values)."
Deadman's replacement range of 4 takes place after the 10. No Possession at 10. Leash should be fine capturing 10 squares away though since his power just uses his regular range, no replacements.

Outstanding! stair damage.
Makes me wonder how many people actually play 100% within the rules. I can think of two or three people at the three locations near me that might know all of them and their interactions. Everyone else seems to be playing different games at times, but it is still fun.
Like: if you are on the edge you are in LOF of all of the characters below compared to you are only in LOF if you are within 45 degrees of the characters below; Force Blast obviously because of the change that happened; using knockback like movement; how leadership works; and other weirdness especially with resources.
Might be fun to have a rules test to see how much we really know vs how much we think we know. I know I would only score say 50% without it being open book.
But yeah, I am so going to build a force to bounce Spider-Man off of some steps again and again and again.

45 degrees is a good rule of thumb, but that's not exactly how it works.
You draw your line to or from the rim guy. If that line crosses any elevated aside from the rim guy's square, it is blocked.

Try redefining knockback without using "move" or "movement" in the definition which is really more of a description.
You will find that to be quite difficult.
It is far easier to define what's happening using the natural description and then to tighten it up with the line about not counting as movement.
Knockback: This character is chest bumped x number of squares away, where x is the damage he took. If he would cross blocking, his chestbump path stops and he takes 1 damage. If he would cross into lower elevation, unless he is a flyer his path stops on the first square of lower elevation and he takes 2 damage. If his chestbump path would have him cross another character, that character catches him and he stops in the square before.
Chestbump replaced movement.
