Love: The Grandest Emotion: Star Sapphire can use Shape Change and the Mystics team ability. When a friendly character with the Star Sapphires keyword uses the Mystics team ability, give the attacker an action token.


If someone hit Star Sapphire for 3 damage when she was on her first click, does the attacker get the Mystics damage and action token, or do they not because she was damaged to click #4 that does not have the power? I'm not sure of the timing on Mystics damage and the token placement.

I believe once the power has been triggered (she is giving the attacker Mystics damage) the ability continues even if the character in question no longer shows that special power, as such the attacking character will get an action token even if she is on click 4.

The team ability activates upon receiving damage from an opposing character. It would activate upon taking damage and it was used at that point so it would give an action token out as well per the power.

Thanks guys. That's what I thought, but I wanted to be sure before I used her, instead of it coming up in the middle of a game.

I get that COMPLETELY. Nothing worse than an in game rules dispute...especially when it doesn't fall in your favor.
