I've been watching the DAREDEVIL netflix series and it has gotten me *very* interested in the Kingpin (a character I previously did not give two figs about).
I've picked up a DP Kingpin 059 when the Deadpool set dropped, and while i appreciated the intricacies of his dial, traits and SPs - he just kind of sits in the back of my clix box going unused (mainly because I don't know very much about him).
I was playing clix with some buds last night and one of them, who is a big Superior Spider-Man fan, was telling me how badly he was looking for an ASM Hobgoblin 041 prime because he was one of the Kingpin's original lackeys (!!). I was not aware of this.
Can anyone else list some comic-accurate Kingpin teams? Or, even better, tell me your favorite Kingpin story arcs and I'll look them up myself.
p.s. I am aware that Kingpin once employed Bullseye, Lady Bullseye, Typhoid/Bloody Mary and possibly Elektra? I also know that Richard Fisk (aka The Rose) is Kingpin's son.
Do you like DC comics from the 1980s? So do I. Check out: www.dcinthe80s.com.
Out of curiosity: has Kingpin ever actually teamed up with the above-mentioned characters in a comic book? or was this team simply assembled based on the HYDRA keyword?

If you can get ahold of the first 111 issues of Ultimate Spider-Man, Bendis uses Kingpin in a really spectacular way. Kingpin escapes jail after being caught on film murdering a former associate and is still able to come back to plague Spider-man, Daredevil, Moon Knight ,Shang-chi, iron fist, black cat and more. If you made it through the daredevil series and remember his conversation with Urich about people being obsessed with texting and celebrities, there is an awesome scene of Kingpin eating dinner and spider-man sitting across from him arguing philosophies on the heart of the people of new york.
That series definitely made Kingpin a favorite villain of mine. In that series he employed Electro as super-powered muscle. His primary henchmen were the Enforcers (Fancy Dan, Ox and Montana - not clixed yet unfortunately)
He also employed Elektra quite a bit and had some back and forth gang war stuff going against Hammerhead.
YES! that's what I'm talking about! Fisk was always surrounded by minions/thugs. great idea!
Yeah, the moment hulk would get on his regeneration click, the goons would ping him with a hydra'd defense. 8s on a 16. Plus hulk couldn't get away from the goons stacking plasticity.
Boy, I sure have pissed off a lot of people lately on the interwebs. Sorry to all.
What about calling them "Papillomas?"

Hope that helps
My knowledge on the Ultimate Universe is little to none (something I hope to rectify when I have enough free time). This was very insightful. Rep to you.
So, Electro and Elektra as lackeys? Good to know.
I seem to recall Hammerhead and Tombstone being allies of Kingpin in the regular Marvel Universe, but I may be wrong.
Also, has Kingpin ever teamed up with Baron Strucker or Red Skull or Baron Zemo?

I thought that Kingpin hired Bullseye to assassinate Red Skull after he ordered Crossbones to attempt to assassinate Kingpin.
"Name of the Rose" from Web of Spider-Man was one of my favorite story arcs.
And DP Kingpin?
That's one of my favorite Clix.
Here are some good combos (I've only ever used a couple).
JLFF Green Lantern has Sharpshooter, and can carry Kingpin and some Mastermind fodder pieces around. I used Headpool. Outwit opposing Precision Strike.
If Kingpin were ever to get ahold of the Omega Drive, his Outwit would be quite insane. Never done this, but I wanna.
Assigning the Cyclops Shard to anybody gives them RCE. It's an easy way to reap the full benefits of Kingpin's Enhancement power.
There was a team I made using WXM Shadow King (assigned the Cyclops Shard)and Kingpin(with Colossus' shard).Shadow King has this Defense power:
PURE PSIONIC BEING: Shadow King ignores all but 1 damage dealt by adjacent characters. When Shadow King is dealt damage; after actions-resolve, roll a d6. On a result of 3-6, heal him of 1 damage.
The Masterminding was ridiculous.
I was pretty sloppy at using the Phoenix Force though. Never quite figured it out too well.
Of course, as CrimsonDynamo suggested, just teaming him up with a bunch of Hand Ninjas is great. The DP ones have a chance to just come right back. This would be my most Comic Accurate team featuring him:
DP059 Kingpin
7 ATA046 The Hand
43 DP006 Hand Ninja
7 ATA046 The Hand
43 DP006 Hand Ninja
7 ATA046 The Hand
43 DP006 Hand Ninja
7 ATA046 The Hand
17 UI012 Hand Ninja
7 ATA046 The Hand
299
Here's a build I'm thinking of using soon:
125 DP054 Arnim Zola
118 DP059 Kingpin
27 DP020 Weasel
270
Hydra theme.30 points left over for shenanigans.
Happy Clixing!

The Family Business story arc in Amazing Spider-man a couple of years ago had Kingpin teaming up with Mentalo. It involved making Peter think he had a long lost sister and then everyone found out his secret identity but Mentalo wiped all their minds (including his own. oops). The TPB cover looks like it could be the inspiration for Kingpin's sculpt.
Kate Bishop:"Why the HELL do you need an arrow to come back to you after you shoot it, Clint?" Hawkeye: "Because...Boomerangs"
