So, I'm working on a 500pt monsters & mystics team for a tournament my friend is putting on. We're allowed anyone with a Monsters, Mystical, or Legion of Monsters keyword along with anyone with a Mystics team ability. We can also use relics & feats. I'm working with a limited supply of Clix since I don't feel like breaking the bank to play this one. Here's one of the teams I'm working on:

asm008 Doctor Druid - 104 pts


dp002 Headpool - 38 pts


I just got a Phoenix Force and I thought it might be good since the poison will keep people away from my ranged folks on top of the other benefits it grants. I'm also expecting to see a lot of Mystics, so it will get around the Mystics damage in addition to Forge's Neutralizer Gun. I'd give Forge the Cyclops Fragment for Ranged Combat Expert, Druid the Emma Frost one for TK, Maelstrom the Magik one for Mystics damage, and Headpool the Namor one since I expect him to die first. That will let me give everyone Inv. with the Colossus fragment left on the base.

With full Phoenix Force assigned to all of them, it comes out at 496, but I was worried about my attack totals. Forge is really my only Perplexer, and I have to wait for Maelstrom to spin up as he takes damage to get his attack totals up. Think I should look at readjusting and use a Book of the Skull instead? I'm a little torn.

You're doing it all wrong. Have you heard of AOU008 Hulk?

I know he's showing up and I thought about it for two seconds. The tournament is casual and supposed to be for fun, though obviously I don't want to be last. Plus, I never get to play my Maelstrom.

I'm sure that someone else is going to show up with a Hulk or Gluttony and be annoying as hell to play against. I was trying my hardest not to be that guy. I figured that at least my Forge would help with him a bit.
