I've only been playing since February only, and everytime I read one of these I am discouraged that resources are such an integral part of competitive Metagame.
The resources are powerfully undercosted when compared to the impact they have on the game and the characters they augment. I would love to see a competitive scene evolve from resource-free competition.

People have been saying this since for over 3 years.
The group photo looks like the cast of a spin-off of Duck Dynasty.

But how do you expect to play a game of ResourceClix without Resources? I mean, that's just contrary to the name of the game.

The ROC does 6 months of a resource-free competition and have just switched over to resources for the second part of their season. Unfortunately in the resource-free part everyone played the same few figures. Yes resources are undercosted but they appear to be necessary to promote a varied competitive scene.

We, the ROC, did that for the first 6 months of this season.
Go back and take a look at the meta for those 6 months.
You will find a lot of certain figures leading the pack.
Zombie Super Skrull, Engineer, Kyle (Ion). They were apart of the vast majority of the winning teams.
I am not sure if anyone preferred that to resources these days. Take a look at this event. How many different figures were used? A whole lot. Diversity is good, IMHO.
