not as much of a fan of this as much as the drone mode of most of the other ultrons, but still, amazing values and a decent dial length for the points.

If they had just called them Ultron Sentry, (Or named the Ultron Sentry's from the movie set drones) they'd be stupid good to play together.

played against one of these with the movie sentry and vision, plus some other stuff, it didn't synergize badly, since the sentry could still carry one of these, allow it to use willpower, and utilize the willpower off the basic programming

One of my most powerful teams Is 3 of these guys paired up with 5 other Drone Mode Ultrons. Their Programming trait easily makes them One of the only. Viable swarm teams. Nothing feels better than getting off 8 10 av 3 damage attacks as your first strike. And their willpower traited basically means that someone will always he Able to attack. Be wary of energy explosion since you have to keep tightly packed though

If you don't mind not having a theme team, you can throw a couple of Polar Boys in the mix. Nullified Energy Explosion!

Gotta echo the love. I played eight of them last night with a suped-up Phalanx Ultron in drone mode. They went 2-1 after a game of getting used to the dynamic for these pieces. They're simply overwhelming, and you better hope that your energy explosion is penetrating, but even so a couple pissed off exploiters should be sidestepping your way for I don't know, 4-6 squares based on the army arrangement. Probably the best swarm ever. I wish I would've played 2 more drones over using the Phalanx and Robot ATA. By themselves the generics are aces.

I agree that this figure is the workhorse of an AoU Ultron force. With the ability to have Willpower through good positioning, the Plasticity/Sidestep special power is a shockingly good combination. I want to also note (post 2017 PAC) that with relatively few "carry" options for AoU Ultron swarms these guys should almost always be carrying standard light objects for a potential damage boost. I think it is great dial design to switch from natural 3-damage to 2-damage with Exploit Weakness... with the backup option of 6-range!
