I would much rather use the old Quake figure. She is a much better depiction of Skye anyway.

You have to remember that while she is "Quake" she is still the TV version, not the comic book one.

I don't get the hate. 50 points is getting you 4 damage from 7 range, stealth, and an end dial power that can shut down Outwit or Perplex practically anywhere on the map if your positioning is good. Add in the probability control, and this gal is an absolute steal. You've all been spoiled by OP meta pieces and have forgotten what a good back up attacker looks like. Not every 50 pt piece has to have TK, PC, Perplex, Outwit, and Support crammed into 2 special powers to be a good piece.

I like her she's a nice 50 point 2nd attacker 1st up and that limiting opposing forces back end is very nice.

not a bad piece, decent for the points. but for the character, this seems wrong. the damage power should be up front, something showing her soldier-ness (but not sniper) then her quake stuff

Don't forget there is a 616 SHIELD comic that served to introduce the TV characters into the normal MU and the dials seem to fit that version better. So I wouldn't just say this is "pre-Quake" Sky, it's Sky. Quake is an entirely separate individual to her (unless I missed WK promo saying this is based on the tv series but considering things like Fritz's monkey I'm guessing not).

Daisy Johnson "skye"= Quake she is the semi main focus of the television show and has long existed before it.

Marvel have inserted a character called "skye" based on the television character which is based on the comic character to introduce us to the TV character for comics peeps!

I never once called her Daisy Johnson and that's the simplifier for the comment.

There is a comic series using the character names from the show but there are differences.

Despite Skye appearing on the show as "Daisy Johnson", as you note, that's an entirely separate character so people saying "This must be a pre-Quake dial" are "pre'ing her to an entirely different person.

The rest of the dials sharing names with the show characters are still based off of their comic versions. You can see this in things like Fritz's "monkey", or the pairing of Nick Fury Jr and Coulson a'la "Secret Avengers". Therefore this isn't TV show Skye and unlikely going to be secretly revealed to have a different name from "Skye" that's the same as a prior existing character. (Ok, in fairness, it's comics so they could decide to go some convoluted route but all I'm saying is folks need to separate Skye from Daisy Johnson / Quake despite what the TV show is doing. I guess I could have missed an issue where comic Daisy started using the name Skye undercover and not wielding her powers...)

Indeed you did. They recently started referring to her as 'Skye' also in the comics as a nickname because she's been doing all of these orbital sky jump missions (REALLY stretching, but its what we have), and also the comic version's father was just shown to be Mr. Hyde, just like in the show.

Ah. Well, colour me bluely corrected and thank you for it. Mea culpa. (I've been letting my pile of "normal" Marvel build-up into a small tower - easy to do with a few hundred $$$ / week addiction to comics :) - during "Secret Wars" as I hate the overlap timing). Feels a wee bit like they're shoe-horning Quake to equal Skye to fit the show better. Not sure why they didn't just go with the alterations as they did with Fitz and Simmons but guess that's another forum thread. Thanks again!
(It's also weird because I don't recall Quake ever being an expert sniper and hacker.)
