Each time you defend, if you take no damage from an attack, you may immediately roll 1 attack die. A hit or critical result damage the attacking ship.
Captains:
Hayes (Federation) (Unique)
Cost: 3
Skill: 5
Elite: 1
Action: All friendly ships within Range 1 of your ship gain +1 attack die this round (+2 attack dice against Borg ships).
Action: Target a ship at Range 1-2. When attacking that ship this round, you may re-roll all of your blank results once. In addition, if the target ship is Cloaked, immediately flip that ship's Cloak Token over to it's red side.
Elite Talent:
Intercept (Federation) (Unique)
Cost: 5
If a friendly ship within Range 1 of your ship is attacked, and your ship is also in the attacking ship's firing arc, you may discard this card to force the attacking ship to perform its attack against your ship instead of the target ship. After the attack is complete, you may perform an additional green maneuver.
Persistence (Federation) (Unique)
Cost: 5
When you attack with your Primary Weapon, during the Roll Attack Dice Step, if you roll a Hit or Critical result on each one of your dice, you may discard this card to roll +2 additional attack dice (+4 against Borg ships). Add all hit and Critical results from the additional dice to your total for that attack. Any Blank or Battlestations results from the additional dice are not added.
Federation Task Force (Federation) (Unique)
Cost: 5
Action: Discard this car to target up to 2 friendly ships within range 1-2. Your ship and the target ships may immediately perform a Target Lock Action as a free Action, if possible.
This Upgrade may only be purchased for a Federation ship with a Federation Captain.
Attack: (Target Lock) Spend your target lock and place 3 Time Tokens on this card to perform this attack.
If the target ship is hit, add 1 Hit result to your total damage.
You may fire this weapon from your forward or rear firing arcs.
???:
Rapid Reload (Federation)
Cost: 2
This Upgrade counts as a Crew, Tech, or Weapons Upgrade (your choice).
When you are instructed to place Time Tokens n one of your Weapon Upgrades, you may disable this card to place only 1 Time Token instead of the required amount.
Along with the Prometheus, the Akira Class is my favorite ship design in all of Star Trek. I was really hoping to see the Thunderchild make it to Tactics, but I'll take it for Attack Wing just the same. May need to find a suitable character in Clix base to represent it.
I've never played ST:AW, though I have played and enjoy X-Wing.
I've heard a lot of people speak affectionately about the Akira class ships, especially in fan made films and things. I'm curious if there's any reason for that, since they primarily appear as background ships, or if it's just a coincidence.
As for this expansion, nothing really sticks out here except for that Rapid Reload card. I could see that becoming standard for everyone using time token torpedoes. Getting another non-pasty faced white dude captain is cool, though her ability is so-so and she's really just there for a cost-efficient way to get Elite Talents to me. Decent fluff ship, and I'm very excited that they expanded out the models we're getting regardless. Still, my heart is only half in it because I'm really waiting for the second ship to my beloved Species 8472.

I like Hayes. Basically a baby fed Martok 9. And with fed action economy, I'd argue more useful.
Ah yes I see that same vs BS is still going on. Kind of refreshing know that I can go away for a time and some still has to play whip it out and measure and not concede someone likes something they enjoy.
Magic is not for Parlor Tricks~
Sparrow, Moros Second Degree Master

Not really, I was just picking on CD for using "more scenarios and more fluff" as a counterpoint to the other things listed, thus the .
We like what we like. Right now I don't like any of the upcoming X-Wing releases until the Ghost and Inquisitor Tie come out.
Side Topic: Does anyone know how exclusive Gale Force 9's new Star Trek license is? They start producing games sometime in 2016. Does Wizkids have any releases planned after January 2016?
As far as I know, our last known release is november. Additionally, I feel like all of the "big" ships already exist and they're probably running out of ideas. I'd like to see more, especially with this new time token mechanic, but most of the ships now seem like fluff ships. It's entirely possible that the license is running out, though we have no solid evidence to support that yet. Even if it is true, we've had a good run, and gotten a lot of cool ships. I still want my gamtuu and the bajoran light sail thing, but those are probably less likely.
Below is the press release. It looks like Summer 2016 is when they will start releasing stuff.
For fifty years, in television, film, books and games, Star Trek has explored strange new worlds and sought new life and new civilizations. Now, Gale Force Nine will boldly go where no one has gone before with a compelling series of hobby boardgames that span the galaxy and beyond.
Under license by CBS Consumer Products, this new series of hobby board games will launch during the summer of 2016. Gale Force Nine will be releasing more details about its vision for the Star Trek hobby board game in the coming months.
“We are both humbled and excited to add to the legacy of Star Trek,” said John-Paul Brisigotti, CEO of the Battlefront Group. “Building on the great history and depth of Star Trek, the team at Gale Force Nine are creating a compelling game system that will explore all corners of the universe and bring gamers and fans alike into the world of Star Trek like nothing that’s come before.”

Actually, it looks like they're going to start another event based on the Temporal Cold War (with Xindi themed ships) in January, so we're not done yet, and Star Wars modders might be happy to note that the grand prize looks like the Death Star.
