I know. As both support or as a secondary attacker this click is ridiculous. Giving people the hydra TA as well as being able to use rce with a range of 8. Such a monster
He is a real beast. I usually don't double up on figs, but I can vouch that 2 wards is a very good use of 110 pts. Pair with Winter Soldier and you have an amazing snipe power.
Pretty cool piece, run him with John Garrett, Alexander Pierce, Winter Soldier, CATWS Brock Rumlow, Agent Sitwell, and W&XM Deathlok Prime for the closet thing you can get to the MCU Hydra crew, get the SHIELD theme and still get a HYDRA TA to all of em.
Works well with nfaos008a S.H.I.E.L.D. Paranormal Investigator for his Outwit and his S.H.I.E.L.D. TA and Grant's given Hydra TA. They both can use Stealth, allowing Ward to take shots against the best foes without fear from ranged.
Perfect dial for Alexander Pierce from Winter Soldier. I couldn't give two ####s about the Mary Sue's of S.H.I.E.L.D. tv show. I'll be throwing a TDKR Bruce Wayne on this dial, just about perfect.
Underrated and easily overlooked - giving adjacent SHIELD members the HYDRA team ability can help out a SHIELD swarm team in a major way. He's worth 4 stars just for that trait alone.
Do you like DC comics from the 1980s? So do I. Check out: www.dcinthe80s.com.
One of very few non-generic characters I'll deliberately keep two of- he's amazing on Hydra teams, which don't have as much cheap range as SHIELD does, and the only other Hydra figure with his trait is himself, so... I just figure they Koening'd him (Patton Oswalt style).
Set up in a little 2x1 section of Hindering for some old-school sniping action, each supporting the other with the two best ranged TAs in the game and some sweet prob control (that conveniently has similar activation conditions to the Hydra TA). Add Kingpin (non-zombie), Weasel and Imperial Hydra for a no-resource theme team at 300 even. That team's gonna be really sad when it runs into (improved targeting ignores hindering + energy explosion + precision strike), but hey, what Agents of SHIELD fan doesn't want to see Ward get knocked around?
This figure is amazing and I get a lot of use out of him. He makes SHIELD teams deadly. This brings me to one point of confusion. Since he is a traitor, should he not make Hydra better instead of making SHIELD (the organization he is betraying) better? I wouldn't want it to change, but the design seems backwards.
