2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'No lynch' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'no lynch' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase. You can vote for yourself if you choose, so be careful when leaving your vote with another player.
2b Please vote in a separate paragraph from any other writing. It helps the mod find and tally your votes more easily and prevents mistakes in that arena.
Example:

I think XXOO is scum because of OOXX reason.

Vote: XXOO

Note the separate paragraph with the post.

3) Every night you either PM both mods your target (in the same PM) or PM both mods that you are choosing not to do an action. Some roles REQUIRE you to submit an action or target--so keep that in mind.

4) If you fail to send us a target, we'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. We tend to pick in favor of those who participate…

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating and grounds for revocation of powers or a modkill.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM we send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong. Additionally, there are several possible resurrection mechanics that exist which may or may not come into play. I do allow a one-time “Nuts, Good luck all” type post, but that is it.

9) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. This someone may even be your mod. Just breathe deep and relax. You win some, you lose some.

10) If you are inactive for more than two phase cycles, We will automatically look to replacing you. If we cannot find a replacement, we will start selecting random targets for you. This includes day phases. If you do not post during one day(except for possible silenced folks) and submit an action in the following night, we will replace you. Failing to post during a day phase could also affect your lynch threshold. Keep that in mind.

10A)Randomization procedure. Each of you are assigned a number, the number that you are listed under in the player tracking post. Your number does not change. If an action is randomized via an in-game action, we use random.org until we get a living player's number. If we randomize due to non-submitted actions, we will use random.org and obtain two valid numbers. we will then use the one most detrimental to the player in question or most amusing to the mod.

11) We are planning on a 48 hour to 72 hour cycle: 24 - 36 hours for a day or night phase depending on weekends. We will state the time length in the thread and it is your duty to ensure your actions are submitted on time. If they are late, it is up to our whim on whether to accept them. See rule number four for an insight into us.

12) gfishfunk's(and IR’s[and G&P’s]) Order of Operations- or "solving paradoxes consistently"
Jailkeep > Guide > Busdrive > Roleblock > Misdirect > Push > Hide > timestamp > all other actions.
This schematic only matters where a conflict would occur. Guide is listed nearly first to indicate that a guided action will pierce anything except jailkeep. Timestamp refers to whoever submitted their actions first.
Example: Terrence RB Lolita, Lolita MDs Terrence. Terrence will succeed.
Example: Terrence busdrives Lolita and Shaniquq, Rei busdrives Lolita and Tim. Alfanso attempts to nightkill Lolita. Who will die? It depends on which busdrive happens first. The timestamp on the submitted actions will determine. If Terrence submitted his action first, then Shaniquq will die.

13) Meta-gaming is as acceptable as other players believe it to be. They will likely lynch you or night kill you in a different game. Please also remember that there are new players here who may not be familiar with everyone’s play styles, or the existence of these different play styles.

14) If you plan on TAK clausing in this game, be aware that many players find it offputting to say the least. We won’t stop you, but keep in mind that TAK clauses tend to derail the game into a discussion of TAK clauses themselves. That’s not fun for anybody.

15) There is a mafia and it has a theme. Interpret that how you will.

GAME SPECIFIC RULES

This is a game of Pokemon. Pokemon have the ability to evolve. There will be some elements in this game that may cause Pokemon to evolve. This means that any Pokemon (or powers) present at the start of the game may not be the same at the end of it!

Alright, folks. Every day, I am going to be giving you another reason why Pokemon fails so thoroughly, so entirely, as to ruin the entire premise, the entire game, and the entire series. Sounds like fun!

Day 1: Memorable Quotes

The game series and the television show have nearly no memorable quotes. Instead, each pokemon can only quote their own name, and the protagonist merely says generic anime garble like:

"We can do it! I believe in you!"

Or

"I'm going to try my best!"

Stuff like that. The best quotes are from team rocket: 'Blasting off again!" and "prepare for trouble - AND MAKE IT DOUBLE!" So, the villains are the only ones with the memorable lines.

WHO'S THAT POKEMON?!

While I disagree with gfish vis a vis Pokemon the anime ruining Pokemon the game, I will say I much prefer the game's take on Team Rocket.

I don't know the game.. How is team rocket different?

They're relatively serious villains in the game, unlike the cartoon where they're mostly played for laughs.

Hmm, I played a few games. I don't even recall Team Rocket being in any of them.

I do recall bully-type gym leaders that would sometimes send me back into the woods after giving me a thorough @SS whoopin'.
