I am making a 500 point Golden Age X-Men theme team, and I have been considering a few different options.

First, the team must include either Wolverine or Cloak and Dagger for 100 of the points. This is also my first conundrum. Should I use this Wolverine:



Or should I use these two kids:





It must be that Wolverine or that set of Cloak and Dagger.

The remaining 400 points can really be any X-Man character, and I was considering these characters to put me at a total of 493:











Beyond that the options I had considered where taking out Havoc and putting in Longshot...



Or dropping both Havoc and Jean Grey and adding in White Queen...



It should be noted that no resources or anything like that would be allowed. Any ideas or advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hmmm i thought i'd responded to this thread. Sorry about not putting this up sooner. I personally don't like white queen. her stop click is (in my opinion) a waste of time. Especially since they released her errata (she can only stay on it until the pogs are dead). only way i'd do it is if i used the 75pt hope summers with her.

I realize that this won't be a factor since there are no resources, but if you're playing in a venue where phoenix force gets played at all (like my venue) the pogs she spits out are easy pickings for a PF character to click the dial and boost there characters. I once played a game where i barely got touched because i used longshot to EE(PF) all the cukoos and emma so i played the rest of the game with perplex on 3 or 4 characters and +2 to all combat values.

I've found that your team is (in general) pretty awesome. You're playing a combination of teams i have in the past (havok+polaris, longshot+nightcrawler + banshee+ jean grey ). I'd keep havok if you're playing polaris as they increase each other's usefulness more than you might realize. As long as you don't make the same stupid mistakes I do you should win with that team. As for the Wolvie or Cloak/Dagger question i'll say this much wolvie helps a lot with x-men TA as well as being a really good bruiser. If I'm tying up a high damage opponent i'll often keep him on that top invincible click so I can take only 1 or 2 then heal back onto invincible. Don't have any experience with C/D so no input there other than they're good for their point cost.
