Looking for advice/criticism on my two RoC team possibilities!
Okay gang. I've narrowed down what I'm going to play at the year's first RoC to two possibilities. Feel free to roast away (any advice or criticism is appreciated!)
My first team is Nick Fury (120), HENRY (15), Nighthawk Prime (65), Iron Man from NFAoS (50 pt starting line) and Blue Lantern Recruit (50). Totals to an even 300. My thinking here is since Nick is lacking the move & attack and doesn't have an easy way to get it necessarily BL Recruit can either TK him up or taxi for him and HENRY as needed and then hang out to give Nick the Enhancement. Between that and HENRY Nick will be hitting for crazy damage quick. Iron Man is there to fill the gap with some light support (taxi, has perplex and outwit, and in a pinch can potentially deal out 3). Nighthawk is there because he's Nighthawk. I don't look for his trait to be as explosive in this format because of the lack of resources and possessions but it can't hurt. He also has some decent damage potential and an early outwit. His shape change is good stuff too if we get into a close combat scrum.
My second possibility is Nick Fury (120), Henry (15) Dark Flash (110) and one of the two support pieces from the first build. I'm thinking BL Recruit is better in this scenario. Same plan for HENRY, Nick and BL Recruit. Dark Flash replaces Iron Man and Nighthawk without nearly as much utility but trades that off for some quickly snowballing damage potential. Also a bit beefier and less likely to get gibbed in one shot.
Thoughts? Questions? Are they both garbage and should be replaced by 20 HENRYS? Only time will tell.
Out of your 2 teams I like the concept of your first one more. Some suggestions/thoughts.
Team 1: Do you have a Star Labs tech? Nick already has prob and the choice of Precision Strike or T/K might be more helpful. One of my favorite ways to move that Nick around the map is the 50 pt Captain America from the CA FF. Option for a better taxi AVAS Manifold. Can't multi carry but Phasing and T/K fills 2 roles in one piece. He can also serve as an attacker if you push him down to his HSS.
Team 2: I really like Dark Flash, but in this atmosphere I think that 3-D man would serve you better if you have access to one. Mostly because of his trait and I would expect you will see people playing Nighthawk and he can ignore that pesky Shape Change.
Thanks for the feedback. I can get ahold of lab tech and manifold pretty easily. I'll try those two out in place of Iron Man and the recruit and see how they do!
