That feeling when you move desks and your phone no longer works.
Yep, it's definitely Monday.
I find Monday to be one of the least stressful days of the work week to be honest. I usually still have a good mood from the weekend going on. Thursdays on the other hand, Thursday at work suck.
Tell your office to get CISCO IP phones. They plug into your computer and then the phone is up and working as long as your internet is working. I never knew that until I moved desks a couple months ago, but it's totally cool. Plus it will save you and your IT department loads of headaches.
Good vibes to everyone dealing with stuff. We've all been there and it ain't fun at all.
They always make me angry ever since Quebbs stole mine, because I'm never the one 5o make them.
Glad Rokk enjoyed his card. My apologies to any I missed sending an invite to sign to. Our community is quite large. Hope you all had a Happy Halloween.
And the best way I feel to get through rough times is just having a good friend you can vent to. Bit ching about stupid #### is healthy, as you don't bottle it all in. And there are more than enough of us here for thst, haha.
I am considering running several different games, and I thought I would post them to get some feed-back.
1. Shovel Knight, the video game. Its a recent retro-game in the style of Castlevania / Mega Man, where the protagonist gains powers that he can switch out and upgrade as he progresses.
2. Star Wars: Age of Rebellion. Similar to Edge of the Empire, this is book II of the smash RPG hit by Fantasy Flight Games.
3. Mario Cart. A look through Mario Cart in its various incarnations.

IP phones are cool, but a lot of people talking on VoIP can really put a hit on your bandwidth. And honestly, it shouldn't be that hard to patch your phone line to your new desk.

I agree on the bandwidth and the higher ups even said we need a tech overhaul in terms of overall tech and capacity. As far as patching, you have not met my IT department. Software fixes they're a fair hand. Hardware and firmware, I question their capabilities.

We have IP phones, albeit ones that apparently the computer plugs into the phone which plugs into the wall. Still wasn't working... although apparently the IT guy came by at lunch and fixed it, so yay (except now I'm wondering why it wasn't working...)

I'd be interested in Mario Kart, although I'm probably taking another step back for a couple weeks (work is about to get busy), so it would depend on timing and prior game commitments.

My company got these last year. They are really good, and the call-forwaridng is much better than the prior Avaya... however there is *one* problem that my company faces with them. If you take your laptop into a conference room and plug into the network, it completely screws up your phone/internet connection at your desk, and you lose the ability to connect ot the internet when you get back.
To "reset" it? You have to go back to the conference room and literally unplug the hub for 10 seconds. So odd.

Mario Kart and Age of Rebellion would probably be most interesting to me, in that order (I've never played Shovel Knight)

While I am on a mafia game play sabbatical, I personally would be most interested in Shovel Knight. I love the retro style. (Maybe because the style was brand new to me when I was growing up).

It's official. Quantico has officially become one of the worst shows I watch on TV.
I was digging the first few episodes, some fun intrigue, a beautiful lead... but last night, with the ultimate surveillance computer at his disaposal, and smoke still rising from a terrorist attack, one of the main characters uses a 10 foot wide TV screen to track

his father cheating on his wife before the attack.
I just... I can't even.
