Finally made the decision to pick up the Orange Power Battery for Kl'rt. I don't have Lydea Mallor and can't afford to get her, so I decided to take a stab at an... updated build since SMWW came out. Here she is:
-Zombie SS with Eclipso - 195
-Orange Battery 2
-Orange Ring 6
-Catapult 10
-Wall 10 (or Axe and Bulldozer)
-Decoy 6
-Mr. Mxyzptlk 70
Eclipso is the only possessor I own, and his dial is actually really good for ZSS since he comes with outwit/prob. I was using Groot from the GotG set, but his 100 points kills my possession.
The Wall and Decoy are great choices. Super Skrull is good enough as is; he does not need a possessor. What your team needs is a taxi. Use this guy.
Not only is he a great taxi, he is also great Mastermind fodder for Super Skrull. If you get on an indoor map, your opponent will want to tear his hair out when you stop up corridors with your Wall and Lockjaw's Plasticity double base.
With 5 being average and 10 being perfect, I think this team is at least a 7/10 in terms of what people at Worlds would play, if it was tomorrow.
What I did with mine, Hat can pick powers to, so you could pick something on Super Skrull to counter a defense and have hat pick another power that would be shut down, with the addition of brainiac and ophidian giving even more options you really should be able to shut down almost everything.
I don't really think the team will need a taxi. I'm gonna give Mxyzptlk the catapult on turn one in order to TK skrull out and be active. The one thing I DO like about the lockjaw idea is the 6 clicks of life for 25 points. That really is good MM fodder, as well as the double base plasticity. That might be enough to nudge me towards picking him up.
As for the Ophidian/Brainiac, that's adding a good $150 which I simply don't have. The power battery can only shut off one power, so using hat isn't really needed. Skrull will be able to take care of neutralizing powers just fine. But thank you for the input

I think you should actually use the Spotlight instead of the Decoy. That way you can Greed away Improved Targeting, so now Nick Fury and friends can't see Skrull through Lockjaw, Elevated, or Hindering (if Skrull picks Stealth).

What I mean by this is that you can shut down the attack power most likely to hit SSkrull and use SSkrull and pick a power that will hit them. P-strike for MM and SS, Psi/pen for Imperv/Invul/tough, nothing really gets through invincible, but that might be a good pick for the ophidian outwith, but yeah they are expensive pieces.
I'm thinking about taking out the Catapult and using the Sniper Rifle instead for Lydea. That would also give me just enough points to run a Level 7 ID with Fury.
It has been my experience that Lydea Mallor really isn't all she is cracked up to be, without map roll she doesn't even have move and attack. I honestly like your first build a lot better Mr. Mxyzptlk is super strong and i also think ZSS does better with a possessor despite what other people have said about it.
Well, thanks for the feedback; I do appreciate it. I think that she's going to be necessary against green batteries. Also, if I give her the sniper rifle, she can be a very nice secondary attacker at range.
Also, Lydea's special move power DOES give her a miniature move and attack since she can teleport herself before making an attack.

As i said earlier only if you win map you can easily get stuck on a map with 4 pieces of hindering or less, but being able to counter the green battery is probably worth it by its self.

I agree. And you need to use the Spotlight. Otherwise Nick Fury is going to be shooting you through buildings and laughing at you.
I'll try the build a few different ways. Lockjaw isn't 100% necessary, so I may swap him out for Eclipso. As for Lydea, it really depends on what I play against at my venue. If I don't see a lot of green batteries, I'll swap her for Mxyzptlk.
Seconding and thirding the spotlight recommendation. I like the eclipso possession on zss, potentially giving him stealth while you strip IT. Or combining shape change, super senses and impervious sounds like fun too.
remember, to use the Lydea Mallor trait/ability, you need to NOT be first player ...
I can't locate the ruling on WORF for the details - they massively reorganized the postings and it's not easy to find.
You need me to be first player, I place my team and resources on the map, then you place yours and at that time you steal something (the ring, obviously) from my battery. If you go first, there's nothing for you to steal.
Wow. I really wish I knew this before I ordered a $36 piece. That's really crappy. Wizkids should add this as an errata on the figure. I 100% would not have ordered her had I known this. Might list her on eBay now...
