One of the best uncommons in the set. Especially in sealed. Mystics TA, starting stealth, invulnerable, and shape change make it difficult to hit him, and they're taking damage if they do manage it. Plus with the right map or support, his poison special power can be back breaking.
Even more fun with plants? Add Ex Nihilo, NML004 Poison Ivy and Floronic Man to the mix. I wish I could add Fiber Jar for a piece of flying broccoli but that would put it 5 points over.
Uncanny X-Men's common Storm can use Smoke Cloud as a free action. The use of Smoke Cloud in Heroclix to represent everything from clouds to thorn-bushes means she and Blackbriar are new besties.

Yeah, that is indeed an amazing combo. You've got plenty of space left to bring a tanky threat while these two do work against a swarm.
Non-binary. Please refer to me in "they/them" pronouns. Thank you.
Come to think of it, it might not be as purely effective as Storm (who makes hindering for free), but you could spam the map with hindering via White Lantern Swamp Thing:
So what's the timing on this? You remove smoke cloud at the beginning of your turn but you can also poison at the beginning of your turn. Do you choose the sequence or is smoke clouds removed before poison is dealt? Thanks
WIN/LOSS: 0-1 Blackbriar Thorn is a character I only like thanks to the JSA. A living-tree looking dude, evil, thwarts Alan Scott - but the dial is gonna meh and that is why it has taken me so long to field him. Mystics has taken a hit since 2017 but Poison has been upgraded and really that is what you need him for. 90 points is a lot but he does require a lot of work to KO for good. However his lack pf mobility means he rarely pulls his weight. Team him with a figure who can lay Smoke Cloud as a free action and he can clear out pogs / bystanders like nobody's business. Nightshade is a neat Smoke /Poison combo for Mystical theme teams and Blackbriar can always bring his Druid minions for 18 points each. Definitely a piece for fans of the character - a remake, one day, would be welcome.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Blackbriar Thorn's "turn hindering into poison" plus FL's The Shade's "Smoke Cloud all day" have long formed the core of a nasty Injustice Society team for me.
