Did the reprints for this ever start? The last I saw was a postcard in February saying that the reprints (and continuation) would begin in March, but I don't remember seeing this. Does anyone know any more?
..., Miracleman: The Silver Age #1 comes out April 6th, just over a week from now. Clicking on the solicits for issue #s 2 and 3 makes it sound like #3 is where the new material actually starts. Gaiman & Buckingham started The Silver Age before the company collapsed, so issues 1 and 2 are reprinting those, with #3 picking up where they left off.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.

I'm still looking forward to it, but ultimately I'm skeptical this series will ever finish. The first two books were actually published (I just put eyes on my copies), and the pencils for the third were done as well. Mark Buckingham has been a brilliant artist, so any blame for the abandonment has to rest with Gaiman. I want to believe he finished the scripts for the six (?) issues, but there certainly is no reason to think anything beyond a title for the planned "Miracleman: The Dark Age" was developed.

The real miracle is that this thread isn't dead after six years or so of non-use.
I picked up this week's (October 2022) release of Miracleman #0 by Marvel comics. The pulled off a neat trick with this book that I feel deserves some credit. Back in 1991 Eclipse Comics published a 3-issue series called Miracleman: The Apocrypha. This was a slick-looking collection of non-canonical stories by other creative teams. I always assumed that this series was some combination of a cost-saving effort and a mechanism to give Gaiman & Buckingham some breathing room (for whatever reason). Issue 8, as well as the Miracleman 3D Special, had previously done a similar thing: they provided a "wrapper" story to rationalize work by other creators. In the case of the early books, it was (from memory) reprints of Mick Anglo stories.
The neat trick with this current volume is this: they've re-used Gaiman's text from Apocrypha, but Buckingham has completely redone the art for that story. The Apocryphal stories in this modern release are NOT those from the early 19990s. As I wrote in another thread six years ago:

Again, because of the confused state of the Miracleman rights, it's not obvious to me that the Dez Skinn/Quality Comics/Todd McFarlane/Miracles and Marvels settlement would really address this book.
The #0 concludes with a memorial page for Gary Leach; perhaps this means that we'll get reprints of his Big Ben stories from Warrior?
2022 comes to an end, and I just read a physical copy of the third issue of Miracleman: The Silver Age. It includes the complete (photo-reduced) original artwork that was originally done decades ago. Was it worth the wait? It's hard to say, as it is little more than just filling in some more information about the world of miracles.
