So the 2 x nick fury and Jason of Sparta looks pretty tough.
I think this might show up in the Heroclix Regional event coming up.
Whats a good counter to this team?
Barrier teams?
Tent poles team?
Is it even that tough to play against?
Me? I've got a different problem. I feel like I live in a world made of cardboard. Always taking constant care not to break something. To break someone. Never allowing myself to lose control, even for a moment, or someone could die. - superman JLU Destoyer
If you are looking to strictly counter that team, TW Lust does prett well. Fury has no move and attack on his 'danger' clicks, so unless he does some specific placement -and- is able to move Jason away on his next turn, he won't be able to make shooting attacks on his next turn. Maybe run a cheap model with high defence and Placticity (Atomica, anyone?) next to Jason?
You could also bring GotG Thanos and either deal 3 damage to one Fury or knock Jason off his Carry click at the start of the game.
IIM Shaman can eliminate Jason's "wing symbol," and thus his ability to Carry.
Pulse Wave still works, as long as you catch Jason in it as well to ignore the power.
The lack of running shot or even TK is the main weakness. Personally x2 Morphing Hank Pyms would probably be able to tie them up all game with ants as they have no way of attacking anyone else if a character is adjacent to them.

Hmm. Almost too easy. I havent been in the meta scene for a while so im trying to think more strategy rather than fun theme team builds. I forget how good tie up works.

Alternatively, if you have multiple characters who are tied for highest points, Fury loses a little umph. Those Ultron drones are good for that since they cost 30, but count as 120 until they're scored, meaning if you have two of them, and everyone else is 120 or less, Opposing Furys can't use their trait.

Just remember that this only works with completely expendable characters. Nick Fury x2 are pretty much going to kill any characters standing next to them so just make sure you are fine losing them.

To add to that, Robot is also a very competitive theme. Vision + Jocasta A.I. Possession, Alkema @ 90 points, a few drones and a Green Lantern Power Battery make a nice little team, as well being Fury-proof, for the most part (as far as Cosmic Assassin is concerned).

True true. I realized that after I posted.just a base atk of 13 isn't bad either though. You could use seyfert for a double atk instead, if you didn't care about modifiers or are worried about nighthawk.
Nebula really screws up anyone carrying and without that Fury is pretty stranded.
Also the Kingdom Come Green Lantern chase from WF on his isolated low point value is amazing since he's got barrier and indom. Really cheap way to throw blocking in the way of Fury's shots.
