As most of you probably know, TCGplayer.com and HCRealms.com have partnered on various project for a long time; first as a provider of prices on the Units section, then as a strategic partner in our Realms Open Championship (ROC).

What most of you probably don't know (and it's understandable, considering I don't share much about my personal life), is that, back in December, I was given the opportunity to join TCGplayer.com, where I now lead the Technical team in making the most amazing things possible! It's a dream come true, and its literally been one of the best decisions I've even made.

That said; I've had so many ideas on how to make HCRealms better as a community, resource, and marketplace ... but I've never had the opportunity, like I do now, where my passion aligns so closely with my job! At TCGplayer.com, with the support of 100+ awesome employees, I now have an outlet to push HeroClix and get us access to all the great tools that Magic, Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! have always had!

A lot of that starts with the secondary market; and getting a good understanding of why/where people buy and sell their product so that we can help build better tools. (You know that "smart trader" tool I mentioned a while back? That only works if we know the value of a figures in your collection).

To start us off; I'd like for everyone to fill out the HeroClix TCGplayer.com Survey, so that we can better understand your needs.

And don't worry; I'm not going to be constantly pushing TCGplayer.com just because I work there ... but it is a great place to buy and sell singles (from hundreds of different stores across the country), and I'm damn proud to be part of the team!

Q: Are you selling HCRealms? Does TCGplayer.com own HCRealms.com now?
A: No. I still own HCRealms, RealmWorx, ROC, etc. 100% ... that has never changed and isn't part of the conversation.

Will HCRealms members get a discount when ordering from TCGplayer.com?

As an example of this practice, members of the forum TalkBass.com get discounts when ordering from BassStringsOnline.com

That I do not know; but I will certainly discuss all options with Marketing team so that we can build a marketplace that best meets the needs of the HCRealms/HeroClix community. If you've looked at past incentives; TCGplayer tends to do "kickbacks" instead of straight discounts (because the prices are set by the stores ... we don't really change those).
