Free barrier is good. Free barrier your opponent has to break away from is great. Add in giving toughness to adjacent friendlies and you've got a winner. My MVP in the pre release.

Since his power reads that he can activate it normally or as a free action, he won't be able to do both on the same turn.

played against him today he's really annoying. that special free barrier is way harder to deal with than the normal wall construct.

He's overshadowed by the SR but shouldn't be underestimated. His free barrier is his main draw, but he is quite the ranged attacker on his front half and a deadly tie-up on the back half. I like that Bobby is finally getting the love!

This piece may be worth reevaluating with the April 2021 new rules and the team up card with Beast that give him Defenders keyword and TA. Adding shared toughness to your defense value sharing chains could be super handy, and he's a significantly better mobile attacker now that running shot and RCE will work together.
