Just One Touch: Scrambler can use Outwit, but only to target adjacent characters regardless of line of fire. When he does, counter all powers currently showing on the target's dial.
Assume Scrambler is adjacent to this guy, below, and uses Outwit on his first click:
Assume that Rojhaz then takes a single damage, possibly from Scrambler attacking him, to go to his second click.
What powers are currently countered after that 1 damage is taken?
1: Running Shot (which would no longer be showing), "I Can Track Anything," Combat Reflexes, and Enhancement?
2: Charge, "I Can Track Anything," Combat Reflexes, and Enhancement?
3: Running Shot (which would no longer be showing), Charge, "I Can Track Anything," Combat Reflexes, and Enchancement?
To me, the implication from "currently showing" (the correct wording from the card, as the Units section leaves out "currently") is that #1 is the correct answer, but I want to make sure.
ALSO, what if Scrambler tries to scramble the following character:
"Mutant Powerhouse" states that "Colossus can use Close Combat Expert. Colossus' other powers can't be countered."
1: Scrambler successfully counters Charge, Impervious, and "Mutant Powerhouse" simultaneously.
2: Scrambler only manages to counter "Mutant Powerhouse," as the other powers cannot be countered until "Mutant Powerhouse" is.
Pretty sure you're right on the first. Scrambler only outwits the powers that are currently showing the dial when he does his outwit.
I think that his outwit happens simultaneous. Since the rulebook says "The order in which simultaneous effects are resolved is determined by the active player." I think it happens simultaneous so the scrambler player would have to state that he is outwittilng Mutant Powerhouse then the order at which he outwits the other powers doesn't matter.
